Once you’re all pitched up, you can head straight in for a pint or a wine – this park is rather handily tagged onto a cosy pub. The Hunters Inn, on the edge of Longdon village, is a handy four miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury around half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham, and also within easy reach of several of the area’s most famed historic attractions, including Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral and Hartlebury Castle. The Malvern Hills are also a cinch to get to for walks and big bike rides, and the water meadow at Severn Ham, just outside Tewkesbury, is smashing for a bit of wildlife spotting and birdwatching. When you’re done with days of Worcestershire sightseeing, return back to base for a barbecue. However, if you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, then the pub serves some pretty great locally sourced food instead. There’s a nice sprinkling of entertainment here too: if you’re there for the pub’s monthly quiz, you can exercise some brain cells for a crack at winning the Hunters’ pub quiz crown.

Aquest càmping tranquil i ben cuidat ofereix parcel·les espaioses i està al costat del pub Hunters Inn, elogiat pel seu menjar excel·lent i personal amable. Em va agradar Easy check in, great direction to place, nice offer of a lead as ours was short to the electric point, clear pitch and clean facilities.. we ate in the pub and food was delicious too.. wouldn’t hesitate to stay there if we were in the area again..

Em va agradar Great location and facilities close to a number of local nice places to visit. Good food in pub and the caravan pitches were nice and flat. Had a great 2 nights here. Very welcoming and friendly staff.

Em va agradar Spent 2 nights here on our way home from Somerset to split the journey up, Great site with fair prices , roomy pitches, optional elect at a great rate, toilets spotless and modern units, pub facilities great with excellent fresh food and good selection of beer/ciders will deffo be using again for our stop overs if goin down the M5

Em va agradar Great campsite with easy access and a seamless check-in. Our pitch was level and spacious, and the whole site was very dog-friendly, with the added bonus of a pub onsite. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and well maintained, with a heater in the shower block if needed. There was easy access to water near the pitch and good washing-up facilities. There are also plenty of public footpaths nearby, perfect for long walks with the dog.

Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.

Over in Tewkesbury, begin with an amble alongside the River Severn or opt for a boat trip along the Avon; then head to the town’s most famed landmark, the 900-year-old Tewkesbury Abbey, and have yourself a heritage wander around its walking trails. The Pepperpot in Upton is also a topping option as a historic highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and the cathedrals at Worcester and Gloucester, all within easy driving distance. The area plays host to lots of festivals and events throughout the year too; if you’re in the area in July, make sure you check out Tewkesbury’s famed Medieval Festival, where thousands from all over get together for Europe’s biggest annual medieval reenactment: let the merriment commence and the mead flow forth. Elsewhere, this top Worcestershire spot is a most handy locale for outdoorsy and active adventures: there’s a golf course in Tewkesbury and several horse riding schools are in the area too, plus walking and cycling are popular around the Malvern Hills National Landscape, a short drive away. Severn Ham is also a splendid place for a walk and a bit of wildlife watching: be sure to take a pair of binoculars or even just your camera phone, because you’ll likely want to snap all the critters and birdlife you’ll find around this wild water meadow.
