喜欢 This was my first time staying in one of the pods, and I absolutely loved it! It was a birthday gift to myself, and it was money very well spent. The pod was cosy and comfortable, and I really enjoyed the peaceful walking routes around the park, as well as the easy stroll to the nearby retail park. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I remembered Briarfields being really well kept from previous visits, and I'm happy to say the standards haven't dropped at all. I'll definitely be returning whenever life gets a bit hectic and I need to de-stress or simply treat myself again. Highly recommended! Michael on reception a very warm, friendly chap.

喜欢 Panpwnton Farm Review Panpwnton Farm is a lovely, spacious campsite with a beautiful running river flowing beneath a small bridge. It was incredibly relaxing to sit by the river, listening to gospel music and watching the water pass by. The site has a peaceful atmosphere and is clearly well maintained. The facilities include showers and toilets for men, women and unisex users, all housed within the same building. There are also some thoughtful extras, including complimentary fresh eggs, as well as a microwave and a fridge/freezer for guests to use if they're happy to store their food there. One thing I overlooked when booking was the nearby railway line. For some reason, I assumed it was no longer in use. It didn't bother me because I pitched well away from it and can sleep through almost anything, but if you're a light sleeper, it's worth considering where you pitch. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return. I'd definitely recommend Panpwnton Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful campsite with a beautiful riverside setting.

不喜欢 What I didn't like The mixed shower and toilet facilities weren't really for me as a solo female traveller, and I felt a little uneasy using the showers early in the morning. The layout consists of an open communal area with toilets on one side and three large shower cubicles with benches on the other. While the shower cubicles themselves provide privacy, the shared entrance and open layout weren't something I personally felt comfortable with. That's purely my preference rather than a criticism of the campsite, and others may feel completely at ease with the arrangement. If you're visiting with children, I'd recommend keeping a close eye on them, particularly around the river, bridge and the shared facilities, just as you should at any campsite. The site is lovely, well cared for and appears to be well managed, but sensible supervision is important.

喜欢 I’ve stayed at this campsite twice now, and it never disappoints. Tucked away in an off‑road location, the grounds are immaculate and so well maintained. This time I visited with my cousin on a last‑minute booking, and it was absolutely worth the trip, just like before. The owners are truly lovely, genuine people who make the place feel welcoming. I love it there and will definitely be back very soon.

喜欢 The Pods: Decent and well-equipped with a double bed, bunk bed, small heater, charging points, bins, and two foldable chairs. Facilities: We stayed in a pod with a private, keyed shower and toilet located just behind it. It was clean but very small (a smaller sink would have freed up more space). Note that other pods with indoor plumbing are available. The Site: Clean and spacious with an on-site shop and a swimming pool (booking required). More solar lighting along the path to the toilets would be a good safety measure, particularly for the pods at the back. Our toilet block was around 3 metres from the pod, and the path could be quite dark at night. The Area: Beautiful, vast Peak District landscapes. Walking the nearby Tissington Trail is highly recommended and was one of the highlights of our stay. Staff: Warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our visit. Despite a few issues with cleanliness, bed comfort, and the lack of a mini fridge, we loved the area, enjoyed the pool, and appreciated the friendly staff. We'd happily return for the location alone. Tissington Trail gets an A*!

不喜欢 However, cleaning needs improvement as there was noticeable dust under the beds and on the ceilings. We even used a portable car hoover and found quite a lot of dust. A mini fridge would also have been a welcome addition. The beds were uncomfortable, although we had been forewarned by previous reviews and brought memory foam toppers, which helped.

喜欢 I absolutely love staying at Wassell Grove Camping and Caravanning. The location is beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind and escape for a while. The whole site has such a welcoming atmosphere, and it truly feels like a little hidden gem. The owners are fantastic and always go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Their friendliness and hard work really make a difference and are a huge reason why I keep coming back. I’m a return customer and honestly consider this my “home from home” spot to visit. Every stay is relaxing, enjoyable, and something I look forward to each time. I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a lovely camping and caravanning experience. My only ask is that if you come, please respect the rules, pitch with consideration by giving others room and space, and be mindful so everyone can enjoy their stay just as much as you will.

喜欢 Lovely spacious pitches, I loved the site. As a solo female camper I really enjoyed my stay. The owners are lovely, really genuine people, who take pride in what they offer, looking after it and maintaining standards. They were also very helpful and thoughtful. I stayed for 2 nights and paid for another night. My stay did end up being through Storm Dave for one night, but that did not spoil my stay, the views and hospitality shown were A*. Not sure if they offer wifi, but my own phone signal with own data was fab.

喜欢 Loved everything, I come here regularly, owners are great, when I want to escape the grind and when I just need peace, quiet, some beautiful grounds to walk and a good sleep, I always return here after venturing to other destinations.

不喜欢 The arrival of a person with his bike, that lacked utter common sense and space awareness. He literally pitched nearly on top of me, when there was enough room and space to pitch at a reasonable distance in the same area I was if necessary. This was nothing to do with the owners and it was not their fault. Just a Mr clueless, I didn't say anything as his lack of awareness or not care attitude didn't disturb my peace in reality, just invaded some personal space unnecessarily. If the grounds were empty with no other people around, I would have had to address it as a solo female. Luckily, I felt safe although weary why he choose to pitch so close.

喜欢 Everything, the peace and quiet you get, the shower area, which is a beautiful idea. How clean the facilities were and how friendly the owners are. Come prepared with everything as we did and you will enjoy throughly your stay. We definitely plan on coming back! I definitely have this also in mind as a solo trip to escape the grind.

喜欢 It's one of the cleanest lakes I have seen for a fishery. Beautiful maintained grounds, very peaceful, and I felt at peace. Met a lovely local family that came for one night. The place is a nice little hidden gem tucked away, to escape the grind of everyday life. 2 nights was just right for me. Owners very helpful.

不喜欢 A bit regimented with where you can pitch. Overall, it ended up well with me having a better view of the lakes. A little noise from neighbouring field/road.

喜欢 Really beautiful grounds, plenty of space for people, no need for anyone to be on top of each other, different pitches and locations. They also have lots of combined shower and toilet cubicles, beautifully set out and a decent accessiable disabled shower area, etc. Nice site and location. My pitch was with electricity. Communications on the day of arrival with email, excellent.

不喜欢 Review factual. Usually I take pictures, post positive reviews, but with the lack of welcome received. A absolute no! The stone faced reception I was met with upon my arrival, no welcome at the reception desk. I arrived with a smile on my face, quite uplifted to have found it and that it looked like a great campsite, I was unfortunately met with a WTF do you want attitude at reception, stared at me like I came from MARS. #FACTS. Ashame really as reception upon arrival at the very least should be warm and friendly with contact. Anyway, I explained that I was a little early, roughly 1 hour, my stupid mistake for being so bloody, honest. I was told instantly there was £6 charge for early arrivals to get my pitch earlier. I paid it as I couldn't be bothered to argue and wasn't letting her ot anyone piss me off over their own issues. However, my pitch was already empty, and other spots. To top it off, other people who came early were not even charged like myself or given the same treatment for being there early. Us campers do talk. For me, it's not about the money it's the principle, and the fact £6 is a joke in reality. It isn't written on site rules or policies. Other nicer places don't even do this and I thought with the reception it was quite harsh on top. I 100% wouldn't recommend or go back here as a result. Everyone should be treated equally and fairly. Showers and toilets were not cleaned early enough. As others said, filthy in the morning. No sign of AM cleaner. I did text, and they did respond to say it had just been done, which was in the late evening. Heads up! Some noise can be heard from the main road, didn’t bother me a great deal, but may other people. Neighbouring Tent walking too close to our personal area I.e pitch, when vast amount of space available not to intrude near us or other people throughout the day and at night. Common sense did not prevail. Not all advertised activities are available. Kids disappointed. Adults disappointed. Shop only accepts card on campsite.

喜欢 Lovely site, Richard was great and was very prompt with a show around. He gave a very, very warm welcoming and was very friendly and approachable. The site is very nice and spacious. I had randomly booked my trip here on the same day of travel, and thankfully I was not disappointed. The site came recommended. This was worth the visit, I would definitely do a winter camp here in the future as it is a hidden gem and has a secure layout.

喜欢 The sensible spaces between pitches so your not on top of each other. Atmosphere peaceful. Goos Showers and beautiful lakes.

喜欢 Loved it, just what I needed, peace and quiet, to rest a very over worked body and mind. I also received a very warm welcome at reception. Thanks to the people that were around. I will definitely be back, shower block lovely and warm, exactly 💯 what is needed in the winter.

不喜欢 Not much loo rolls in the female toilets, many cubicles without. Caught me off guard. Luckily had clean tissue in pocket. I am sure it would have been sorted if I had informed them, but in all honesty I had forgot, as carried a spare loo roll with me just in case.

喜欢 Lovely play area for the children. It really does help keep them busy. My God Daughters were able to make friends on site similar to their ages. Shower block, good overall kept clean, but desperately needs scent air fresheners near toilets and sinks. Unpleasant smells at different times. Local food hall near by 2.3 miles. Handy if you forgot something. Lovely grounds to explore on the site.

不喜欢 Paying a £1 coin, each time to take a shower, I don't think this should be a separate fee with electrical pitches. We were a family of 4, and we shower day and night as that's our hygiene routine. The extra £16 we paid in showers was unfair in my opinion. We only stayed a extra day due to the kids enjoying themselves and the weather, turning for the worst in the morning that was poor before, it changed for the better. I think the shower fees need to be reviewed. Also the post code difference on Pitch up doesn't help. We ended up elsewhere but close. When we eventually found it, was advised correct post code on website. Phone signal a bit hit and miss.

喜欢 Really like the peaceful tranquility of the site, no yobs or people who don't, monitor their kids or dogs properly. Everyone follows the rules and it makes it a nice place and happy environment for all. This place is in my top 5 to visit again and return to. Enjoyed my second stay here, was remembered too and it's been a over a year. Friendly owners and helpful with walking trails you could try.

喜欢 I had once again a lovely relaxing stay overall. Really enjoyed my spot, where I pitched and the environment near the river bank. Management supervisor brilliant as always, like minded people on site. I will be returning very soon.

不喜欢 Strange male camper that had to be told 3 times to leave me alone after invasive visit where I was pitched. (Never seen or spoke to him prior.) Management response, great and local sane campers onsite offered to assist if issues arose through the night. Nothing did thankfully, but it did put me on high alert on my last night. In 4 years never experienced that, as a solo female camper. Ashame really, as people just need to know boundaries like minded or otherwise.
