Get back to nature among spectacular surroundings with a stay at Gwynedd's Rhos Y Foel, in the middle of the Llŷn Peninsula a short drive from more lush landscapes at Snowdonia National Park. Set with views towards the rocky peak of Moelypenmaen, Rhos Y Foel is a small and family-friendly site, with a wide swathe of open space on which the kids can let loose. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Rhos Y Foel is a level and almost completely flat site – no uncomfy bumpy groundsheet nights here – and has a facilities block with hot running water. Off-ground barbecues are allowed and firepits are available on site: for supplies, the local village is Boduan and the shops and services of market town Pwllheli are a few miles away.

喜欢 A beautiful spot, really well maintained grounds with flat pitches. Facilities are excellent, again really well maitained and clean. Marta was a great host, knowledgeable of the local area and always there to help if we had questions.

不喜欢 Access to the wider local area is limited to your own transport, its not a slight on the site, just difficult if you're in a bigger vehicle. No activities for kids

喜欢 We love this place we have been coming here for years now, the views in the daytime are amazing, on a clear night the sky is spectacular you feel you could just reach out and touch the stars.
There have been new upgrades to the toilets and showers which are are great, the laundry room has been moved and given a makeover it also look so much better it also has a freezer, kettle and sink inside the pitches are a very generous size, you are also allowed a fire pit here, quiet time is from 10pm which is another reason we like it here, some people say the Wi-Fi signal is poor we had no problems with ours we are with Smarty. Everything on site is kept clean and tidy by the lovely Marta nothing is to much trouble for her she is a credit to the campsite. There is a local shop a few miles down the road if you need anything, or Pwllheli is not too far away for larger shops. My favourite part of the day is when the the jets from RAF Valley fly over it is quite a sight to see and hear. We will be back again next season cannot wait

喜欢 Very friendly and helpful staff, immaculately clean and modern facilities, well located for visiting the whole of the Llyn peninsula, particularly by cycling on quiet lanes.

不喜欢 No wifi available on site, but good 4g and phone signal

喜欢 Beautiful setting lovely and peaceful with lovely pitches. Clean facilities and friendly welcome.

不喜欢 The only things we didn’t like was the water in the showers could have been warmer it was quite cold one time we went in. Also the dish washing area is quite open to the elements.

喜欢 Facilities were lovely good size pitches everyone was so friendly the owner stayed there until we arrived as we were running late to greet us and was very helpful and ever so kind. Very clean and tidy

不喜欢 No service or WiFi so we got lost when venturing out 😂 (not campsites fault)

As you'll know if you've ever had the sense to go there, the Llŷn Peninsula is lovely land, with sea all around as it jabs 30 miles into the Irish Sea from north-west Wales's tip. Rhos Y Foel is in an excellent setting to get to the best of its hills and coast in the site surrounds, and to explore the mountains and other highlights of Snowdonia a short drive away. Around the peninsula, have seaside days at resorts like Abersoch, Nefyn, Morfa Nefyn and Pwllheli, all just a few miles away, or get active with afternoons among the wakeboarding, bowling, quad biking, go karting and fishing of Glasfryn Parc nearby at Pwllheli; soft play, food, a farm shop and a bar are at this latter as well. Paintball is nearby if you want to take things up a notch. Another top local option for families is the award-winning GreenWood Forest Park, where you can paddle among trees, make things work at the world's only people-powered rollercoaster, see a live show, meet the animals or try den building and archery. More animal meeting is at Dwyfor Rabbit Farm, or drive to the foot of Snowdonia for a more active family day out at Gypsy Wood. The famed 18-hole Nefyn & District Golf Club at Porthdinllaen is only a few minutes from the site.
