Litton Lakes

喜欢 We love Litton lakes, we’ve visited lots with day passes but this was our first camping stay.

Easy to check in, the new toilet block is smart and a welcome addition.

The new jetty and edging to the lake is really smart.

不喜欢 The cafe prices are I the expensive side with a limited menu. Coffee isn’t great either.

Lots of the taps didn’t work in the new toilet block. I think at one point only 2 taps out of 6 worked.

The jetty needs some bone slip gripping on it, we watched numerous children hit the deck very hard, including one child smacking their head. Please supervise your children in this as it gets so slippery.

喜欢 It was a cute place. The new Toilet block is nice, a little “impersonal” as you can hear everything. When shop was open coffee is good.

不喜欢 Power points would completely and utterly change this place.
No wardens or control. They state 9pm quiet time but every night the loud group could be heard laughing and talking till gone 11pm.
Shop is very expensive with strange open hours. A bbq night or something would have been amazing.
Never saw anyone cleaning, tidying up or managing site.

喜欢 Camp was lovely clean and quiet. Staff were lovely. The lake was a big bonus.

不喜欢 Signage for amenities could be a little clearer as it wasn't until we were leaving we found there were toilets closer to our pitch than the ones we were using.

不喜欢 The showers were really hit and miss. It seemed that if someone was washing up the showers would trickle, not ideal if you have a head full of shampoo to wash outs but when the showers were good they were great

喜欢 The cafe and the lake are great, we spent the whole day at the lake paddle boarding.
The toilets and showers are clean and there are plenty available for the size of the site.

不喜欢 The only issue was with the water pressure so sometimes the water would stop completely in the showers!

喜欢 Really friendly welcome and the facilities were clean and modern but still had a campsite rural charm. The lake was obviously the main feature and we had beautiful weather. The car was really chilled. Pitches were nice and flat and the other guests were all respectful and the site had lovely views.

不喜欢 There was a lot of floating algae in the lake which in my mind could have been cleared, I understand that it provides oxygen and a platoon for creatures but nonetheless there was a lot of it. The options available in the cafe were limited, essentially a bacon sandwich or toasted sandwich’s only. It did take a while to receive my coffee too, despite there being few customers.

喜欢 Lovely site with friendly greeting from staff on arrival. Beautiful pleasure lake and decent facilities. So much joy and laugher in the air, mainly from older kids, really nice to have something to do for this age range (mostly 8-14 I recon).

不喜欢 Cafe was over priced and not serving food until 10am. Bit too late for breakfast for us. Would prefer a simpler set up serving good coffee and bacon sarnies from 8am. It was all very nice and fancy, but not really what we needed in the morning.

喜欢 This is one of the best campsites I have been to. Clean and the camp warden is so lovely. The lake onsite is absolutely fabulous, hours of fun to be had. The locations is fantastic.

不喜欢 Water pressue in showers, but not the end of the world. Definately wouldnt stop me from recommending Litton Lakes
