Dartmoor Shepherd's Huts

喜欢 Quiet and scenic campsite, the noise of the brook is very peaceful, and the facilities were absolutely immaculate. This was our first trip at a campsite and it was beyond expectation. Pitch was a great size, and the cover of the trees and woodland meant that despite it being a windy morning, we could feel nothing.

不喜欢 Nothing!

喜欢 I liked the no music policy as i got to enjoy the beautiful sound of the stream and birds. It was the perfect setting for me as i had too much stuff to wild camp, but it felt quite wild with with the woods and meadow outside my tent. A bird landed on my tent at one point and said hello. Great facility block. Easy uphill walk onto the moor. I liked how each pitch had a firepit although I didn't use mine.

不喜欢 It felt a bit strange not to meet any owners or staff members but i could see that the place was being well looked after.

喜欢 This site has a wonderful almost alpine ambience to it which is both immediately captivating and relaxing. It was lovely to put up our tent on a large flat pitch by the gently trickling stream with the campfire adding to the appeal. The site is ideally located for exploring Dartmoor. The easy, choose your own pitch check in is great and the very frequently cleaned facilities are good. We are looking forward to visiting again soon.

不喜欢 The recycling bins might benefit from being a bit larger or and more regularly emptied.

喜欢 The peace & quite & being in a little valley under and around trees & the stream, plus easy access to lovely walks

喜欢 Beautiful site with secluded location but plenty of pitches to choose from depending on what you are looking for. Facilities wonderfully clean and close but not too close to the pitches.

Local pub nearby is lovely with super friendly staff too.

不喜欢 Nothing!

喜欢 Herdwick shepherd hut was very comfortable. Fire pit was excellent. Site was tidy.

不喜欢 Need hook in shower for towel

喜欢 Staff weren't on site when we arrived but once we saw them they couldn't be more helpful

不喜欢 But discombobulating to arrive to no one there. No kindling. Overflow rubbish and no way to get change for machines. Should probably sell insect repellent.

Comfortable bed in the shepherd's hut and for a great price.
We didn't see any staff we was given a code to unlock the key for the shepherd's hut.

喜欢 Very quite, in the woods and the stream is lovely.

喜欢 The site was clean and tidy with nice size pitches. Very peaceful and loved camping next to the river running through the site
