Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity. Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore. The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here). More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table. After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need. Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

喜欢 EVERYTHING!!!! What a fabulous camp site. We booked a grass pitch with electric for our tent. We were able to pitch close to the washing and toilet facilities and weren’t far from the main venue/activity area.
The pools were fabulous and clean and modern and activities well planned.
The staff were very very friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough to help.
The site was lovely and modern and can’t compliment it enough. I’d definitely love to come back.
The prices in the shop and at the bar were very reasonable too!

不喜欢 The cost of the electric 🙈 but it was in constant use and sign of the times I guess.

喜欢 Cofton is a great place for families. Lots of amenities, shop, pools, shop and lots of food venues.

不喜欢 No phone signal. We were pitched top of hill which I struggled with.

喜欢 The site is set down, which gives it protection from the wind. We enjoyed the outdoor pool on a breezy day as it’s cleverly sheltered. It was a great vibe with pool music occasionally, plastic cups provided free if needed (for a pool side beer) and the life guards were excellent, anything dangerous stopped immendiately but also not kill joys on fun stuff with rubber rings and beach balls. I saw alot of people having alot of fun.

This is a big site, however pitches are a good size and each pitch has small hedges to give a sense of privacy. As you would expect with a site of this size there’s lots of activities to do.

We stayed last week aug and enjoyed the late evening entertainment which wasnt too busy, however can’t comment on the early evening. The terrace, pool setting looks great in the evening. There’s even a pub as another alternative to the evening entertainment hall. Arcades were fun too. Pizzas were nice and ok priced.

Our pitch was also close to two toilet blocks/washing up points, and drinking water / bins also within easy reach. Everything was also cleaned regulary. I was either lucky with my pitch or this whole site has been very well designed. I only stayed 3 days but could have easily have stayed longer.

不喜欢 For the price i paid per night, i think the indoor swimming pool should be free. However due to the weather we used the outdoor pool free.

Also electric should be included for the price but i appreciate they are moving to an app installation and to be honest the cost actually made no difference. Though may add up in a large motorhome on a longer stay.

Would have like too have done the tractor ride if staying longer but this was well booked up. May be if booking early for peak seaon, also book activities at the same time so u don’t miss out.

Wifi you pay for and couldn’t seem to log on to free wifi in the complex.

喜欢 Fantastic clean and well positioned pitch. Good size. Facilities first class including outdoor pool, park, toilets and showers. We take our van to many parks in the UK and this is one of the best we’ve visited. Worth the cost. The entertainment was great for our daughter.

不喜欢 Be prepared for poor phone signal. WiFi free at the club house and is available for a fee on site. We had a starlink.

不喜欢 Well overpriced pitch to small electric didn’t work at first then went out again top pool payed twice in on day 2 ice cream £5.40 had enough by then so packed up day early could gone to nice hotel fore same price won’t ever book it again looked at price of menus not prepared to pay those prices so went to dawlish fore fish and chips 5 stars

喜欢 We had a really fantastic holiday here for a week. We loved the entertainment and activities that our children (age 12 and 14) could enjoy and get involved with. Pizzas were great, staff were great (especially the entertainment team) and the cleaners did a great job at keeping the toilets clean. Kids say I have to mention the pump track as they thought that was brilliant and the arcades!

喜欢 Great resort. Lots to do. All staff really helpful. Nice outdoor and indoor pools.

不喜欢 Small pitches. Just about big enough for the tent and car and very little room to sit out.

Wandering just outside the site, the nearby clifftops have pretty walks; there are gentle bike rides around and about; plus beaches and waterways offering more sail-, paddle- and wave-powered action than you can shake a stick at. Take a bus (the stop’s only 100 metres away) to explore a bit further afield: this corner of Devon's jampacked with things to see and do, including castles, botanic gardens, zoos, aquariums, animal farms, model villages and adventure parks. It's a 10-minute drive from the site to spectacular Dawlish Warren, home to a sandy beach and a tiptop nature reserve.
