Sick of being rudely awakened by your alarm clock? Try a Ruda wakening instead: after a blissfully peaceful lie-in, take a gulp of fresh, clean air and stroll a few steps down to the golden sands and sparkling waves… Ruda Holiday Park sits right alongside the sweeping sandy surfing beach of Croyde Bay on Devon’s Gold Coast. Croyde is a popular destination for surfers, and it’d be rude not to have a go while you’re here. Guests can hire a variety of boards, wetsuits and other kit from Ruda Holiday Park’s dedicated surf shop, and instructors from the renowned Surf South West school are on hand if you want lessons. If the weather isn't playing nice, head for Ruda’s tropical indoor pool complex, where there are water rapids and underwater geysers, waterfalls, hydrojets and one humongous slide. This site is great for kids of all ages, with the children's club, adventure playground, indoor soft play area, tennis court and activities like 'tots and tunes' or character dining (this last one's during high season only). There's also a good choice of on-site food options, including a beach café and an ice-cream parlour, plus a sprightly schedule of evening entertainment, and comprehensive essential amenities.

不喜欢 How close people feel they need to park next to even though they should park in between the 2 posts.
Also the wall behind us was used by the young lads in the field behind us as a short cut

喜欢 Food and drinks were reasonably priced for a place with a captive audience. Food surprisingly good, breakfast excellent and on a daily deal for two. Indoor pool lots of fun. Entertainment staff entertained, and Mrs J won at bingo 😁

不喜欢 Toilets showers not as bad as described in some reviews, but I wasn't there in the height of the season. A refit would be help here, attendants frequently cleaning, but well you can't polish a t*** ! Wi-Fi is pay to use, but didn't bother as no signal evident on the burrows side of the road.

喜欢 Facilities were clean and spacious and the staff were friendly. Didn't get to have a fire because of the dry weather but that's not their fault at all. Pool was nice and the arcade was decent too.

不喜欢 How loud it was with the club nearby, I think it needs to be specified that music will be playing loudly until around 12am on the beach nearby. Teenagers were rather annoying turning up at 11pm so I think the gates should be secured past this time so that people can't come onto the site really late.

喜欢 Great shower and toilet facilities, exceptionally clean, underfloor heating is a great choice for comfort.

Don’t miss the chance to explore the Devonshire coastline surrounding Ruda Holiday Park. Recommendations include a walk to the headland at Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with outstanding views; a saunter along spectacular Saunton Sands, and a delve into the dunes at Braunton Burrows. Croyde is a perfectly pretty village of thatched cottages, tearooms, pubs, restaurants, cafés and (but of course) surf shops. There are umpteen visitor attractions in the area, particularly for animal enthusiasts, who can come face to face with life-sized model dinosaurs and a host of their living, breathing descendants at Combe Martin Wildlife Park; practise their trout pouts on some fishy friends at Ilfracombe’s aquarium; or get hands on with the animals at the Big Sheep, the area’s most eccentric day out: sheep racing and stunt ducks, anyone…?
