Nice clean site but expensive and cannot cope with amount of visiotrs

喜欢 Site was clean, easy to peg the tent into the ground. Shop staff were helpful and friendly. Lounge bar was nice
不喜欢 Reception manager was rude, showers needed more water pressure and bigger cubicles. Clothes and shoes got wet while showering. Drinks and food on site were expensive. Shop shut to early and opened late. Chip shop was shut most of the time. All tent pitches were on a slant.no cider on tap at any of the drinking venues. Restaurant not big enough to cater for the amount of people on site. People had to wait 1.5 hours for meals. No phone signal or WiFi on site. Waste bins not emptied enough or signposted

喜欢 Very nice place. Big pitches. A lot on site. Plenty of toilets and showers. Decent shop, bar, large swimming pool and park.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Thomas one of the entertainers was very nice.
Close to petrol and supermarket and a couple of towns near by.
不喜欢 Beer very expensive and not the best selection. Evening venue too small for size of the park. Site is remote so no phone signal, but that's not there fault.
Free WiFi not the best.

喜欢 Beautiful site, very clean. Much bigger than expected but tucked out the way. Felt very safe and comfortable, would definitely book again. No signal on phone in most places around site which helped us to relax and enjoy each others company more.

不喜欢 1 staff member within the activity area. Very miserable, eye rolling, asked if had a bad day he said yes. Didn’t want to do any work, passed the buck to the older gentleman. Not ideal for a children’s area.

喜欢 Lovely lady I think called Maria or similar on the kids club. Did tie dye activities etc with my daughter and was absolutely wonderful. Made my little girls experience. Staff on site arw really lovely. The guys I’m reception are really nice and helpful. Site is clean (bar the swimming pool).
不喜欢 The smell of the swimming pool changing room is absolutely revolting!
I can’t even explain. The pool itself, is ok. Walk in to the changing rooms and the smell and dirtiness is not great. That needs seeing to rather sharpish. And looking at other reviews, seems like it has been an ongoing problem for quite some time. Shop could do with better stocking also. And bar staff leave you waiting ages in the pub.

喜欢 Food was awsome, reasonably priced.
Pitch was close to amenities, friendly staff and some great country views.
You will need a car to get anywhere as its a long walk to the main road
不喜欢 Wasn't told at booking there was demolition of buildings but should look great when completed.
This is a cashless site so top up your spending card.
Recycling point by reception and only one, refuse bind in old carts dotted around park

喜欢 My wife and I last stayed here about 2018, we loved the site then. The shower/toilet blocks were clean and the water hot, the pitch in field 5 was quite sloping but with good chocks, not a problem. Good facilities for motorhomes, water tap at back of hookup sockets which was useful and site was quiet at night. The fish and chips from the onsite chippy was okay to.
不喜欢 The onsite farm shop from memory used to stock fresh/local produce and now stocks nothing fresh, but frozen food, booze and sweets. Which was disappointing. The outside bar area was covered in cigarette butts from the overflowing cigarette bin and the tables could have done with a wipe over, the beer okay though.

不喜欢 Pitches not level and because we hired a motorhome we don’t have blocks! Shop not open at 9.15 so couldn’t purchase anything before we left! Very basic electric cable didn’t reach so had to move to a different pitch! Cobwebs all in windows in toilet block. No WiFi unless you paid

喜欢 I liked the whole campsite, the layout of the pitches and the feeling of space everywhere. It was immaculately tidy and clean, as were the very good showers. We only stayed one night so didn’t use all of the facilities. We had stayed in one of the cottages many years ago and enjoyed that very much. It had changed greatly over the years but was still an excellent place to stay which I would recommend to anyone.

不喜欢 Day 1 me and my partner and our little dog arrived and checked in at reception the receptionist was lovely she told us where to go to our pitch with a map then when we got to our pitch the we got the tent out and then we saw that the electric hook up was to far away so we went back to reception to tell them cam we go somewhere closer to a electric hook up as our wire didn't reach and then we went to plot 154 and it was still far away so we had to go buy a new electric lead for £25 every time we went camping we have never had this problem
Day 2 we woke up and I went to go and use the toilet and it was closed due to cleaning I asked could I use the toilet and they said use another toilet block I didn't even know where it was I had just woke up and didn't want to walk around looking for a toilet block. We pay to use the facilities we should use and not try and find another block.
I know they have to be cleaned but never been to a place where they close the whole block at once they usually close a bit at a time
Wouldn't mind if they gave us notice telling us they are closing the block they could have said when we checked in.
On the night we fancied a chippy and it was closed this was about 6pm on Tuesday only open Friday Saturday and Sunday.
Day 3 we went on the woodland walk what was lovely walk we had a nice walk through the woods
Day 4 we had to pack up and go home due to the strong winds we would have stayed till 11th but our tent broke in the strong winds and tried to call reception about 6 times to tell them we had to leave early when it opened as we left at 630am and no answer.
All in all we didn't have a good time at all we will not be coming here again.
