Life’s little stresses getting you down? Want to stow yourself away for a countryside break where everything is close to your pitch? Come along to Combe Martin’s Stowford Farm Meadows in north Devon for a bit of de-stressing in a rural setting: the park is a mile from the main road down its own private drive and is a well-placed base from which to explore the best of Devon. Set among 500 acres of Devon woodland and meadows, Stowford Farm Meadows falls into the category of ‘very large’ sites – but fear not if your tastes tend towards the more solitary, as the park is divided into five separate fields and feels like several small sites rolled into one. The overall size means there are heaps of facilities and activities for you to try your hand at, from cantering around on horseback with the help of the on-site riding centre, to driving the kids crazy with your swish moves at the crazy golf. Looking for something a bit quieter? There are marked woodland walks into the wildlife-rich Bittadon valley, with nature trails starting and finishing on site. A heated indoor pool is available for a small extra charge; some days, there are also activities here like the aqua inflatable run and 'aqua paddlers' sessions for kids (both at an additional charge). For putting feet up or letting hair down, the site has two bars (with evening entertainment in peak season) and an on-site takeaway. For supplies, Stowford Farm Meadows has a licensed, well-stocked shop for your caravan and camping accessories. And finally? Even the dog will de-stress here, with a friendly welcome and a spacious dog-walking area on site…

喜欢 Option to check in on any day and not a minimum of so many nights stay.
We had a lovely pitch with open grass area near by for children to play. Hops walking distance to facilities and entertainment.
Our children loved the childrens entertainment they had great fun.

不喜欢 Shower areas weren't always the cleanest. But this would be down to other campers who didn't squigey the floors after their use. Maybe more could be provided in these areas rather than just one.

喜欢 The pitch as its a good size.

不喜欢 Standards have changed within the year!

We had food in the bar, wouldn't recommend the £8 plus pancakes(x3 tiny), they are rubber! Food looks like it comes from Brakes, which is shocking really when your supposably on a farm. Bar staff would rather be on their phones than clean the tables from the last person who sat. Now only take card.

Farm shop, nothing really in there this year. Last year we spent a small fortune, as lots of goodies. And again, only take card.

Unfortunately we had to stay away from all the activities on site this time as they only take card now! Very disappointing.

I wouldn't recommend to friends and family this year, and next year we will not return.

不喜欢 Shame it’s in the middle of nowhere and have to drive everywhere but being able to see the stars was incredible!

不喜欢 The site is overrated because it has arcade entertainment restaurant shop and chip shop . there's lots of pitches with awningd spread between to caravans and seasonal pitches mixed among occasional hire we ended up listening to music and load chat past the 2300 curfew also another van had 4 dogs that were supposed to be kept on leads unless in the exercise field.young children riding electric scooters fast around the site . cannot change the booking for refund so we had to go.a better getaway is out there for less just because it has all the above didn't make it enjoyable

喜欢 The park was great for kids had lots to do.
The toilet and showers were really clean.
The arcades had lots of choice.
Reception were the most welcoming team and nothing was an issue.
The food in the bar was good quality.

不喜欢 There was no freezers for iceblocks.
The shop opening times werent accurate and varied daily, and food options was lacking in shop.
The park is cashless. Which is a shame.
No free wifi had very poor signal.

The highlights of north Devon are a pebble throw away, with Combe Martin on the doorstep and the famed harbour and seafront of Ilfracombe a few miles away (if you forget your wetsuit, the clever sorts at Stowford sell them in the on-site shop). Take little monsters to the animatronic dinosaurs, train ride and 250 species of wildlife at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park where they can help feed the lions or see the birds of prey, or along to Exmoor Zoo for yet more species to see. Not thrilling enough? Let them see stars at the Milky Way Adventure Park with the tallest rollercoaster in Devon, or whirl about the rides and play areas of The Big Sheep.
