If you’re looking for a budget tourer option on your upcoming Cornish jaunt, the pop-up Calamazag Plant Nursery may suit you down to the ground. It’s five minutes’ drive from the pretty fishing village of Looe, in a handy spot that gives you a choice of beaches and coastal towns to explore. Pitches here are flat and spacious grass spaces for campervans or motorhomes, and they have lovely Cornish countryside views. The llama paddock is right next door, so you’ll have cute animals to watch to keep you amused during your stay. The pitches are adjacent to the plant sales area, which has a small high-quality café cabin serving barista coffee, artisan drinks, cakes, sandwiches and toasties as well as ice cream and Cornish cream teas. This is a back-to-basics park-up with no showers, electric hook-ups or toilet waste facilities on site, so you will need to be in a vehicle that is self-sufficient. The only facilities available are a portable loo and drinking water. There is a bus stop a short walk away for those who want to explore the area by public transport.

喜欢 Lovely basic site with a very warm welcome, local knowledge and great views. Walkable to looe so pitch up and get fit with great walk.
Didn’t get opportunity to test the lovely cakes as came sun/monday.

不喜欢 Only suggestion would be cleaning supplies sessionto support campers keeping portaloo clean and smelling nice 😀alternatively consider a composter toilet .

不喜欢 Cafe/shop wasn't open when there not end of the world but would have been nice. Lamas not out due to hot weather (again couldn't be helped).

喜欢 Lovely views and easy access to the site.

The pitches are very large, even if the site was full you wouldn't feel cramped.

Other reviews have mentioned traffic noise, while it is on the main road into Looe, I can't say it was particularly noticeable. Definitely didn't affect our sleep or enjoyment of the site.

Very good communication.

喜欢 This site was perfect. Really friendly owners who made us feel so welcome. The views were lovely and we were walking distance to Looe. We met and fed the llama's and enjoyed cake! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return!

喜欢 A really beautiful, basic and small campsite for motorhomes. Stephen gave us a really warm welcome to his peaceful and picturesque site which offers grass pitches (not quite level so bring ramps) fresh water, rubbish and recycling, plus a portaloo. What makes this site special is the business is also a plant nursery with a café onsite, with covered outdoor seating and delicious cakes. We enjoyed the variety of birds to watch, and if you're not a twitcher, there are llamas on site too! The site is walkable in half an hour to and 40 mins from the beautiful town of Looe. Highly recommend. 🌺

喜欢 Lovely camp site and nursery. Gorgeous views from our pitch. About 20 to 30 minute walk to Looe downhill. Great host very helpful.

不喜欢 It stated no shower so we were aware of this but it would have been perfect if there was a shower there.
