Private access to a three-mile sandy beach sound tempting? That's the fabulous feature you’ll get at St Ives Bay Holiday Park, set on sand dunes five minutes’ drive from Hayle in Cornwall. If you’re all piling in for a family holiday, you can spend days building sandcastles, running around on the beach with the kids and cooling off in the sea. Travelling as a couple? You’ll have spectacular sea views across St Ives Bay and you’re almost guaranteed colourful sunsets as a backdrop for romantic twilight strolls on the sand. And when kicking back and enjoying the views is not quite enough for you (and, let’s face it, the kids will want more), how about crazy golf, tennis or the amusement arcades? You can burn off more energy at the surf school or in the heated indoor swimming pool, and there are play areas scattered around the park to wear the kids out properly. With all this going on, make sure you leave time to unwind for a drink at the terrace bar with superb views over the bay and a menu of small, tapas-style snacks – there’s entertainment in the evenings too. 不喜欢 Toilet and shower facilities were dirty . Barely cleaned. We were informed by email at 11am that the site was closing due to the storm and we had to be off site by 2pm. Understand the safety reasons but 3hrs notice and an email is not acceptable. The signal isn't great in Cornwall. If I hadn't have seen that email and I was out for the day how would we have got back to our motorhome?! Had to cancel things we had booked for my birthday and lost deposits due to giving less than 48hrs notice. Spent my birthday stressing and trying to find somewhere else to stay and they weren't helpful in the slightest I got told to stay in a lay by!!! I was offered a refund just for the rest of the holiday! Would not stay here again.

喜欢 Campervan section was quiet, and you could select your own pitch.
The sea was just beyond the sand dunes. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The site was ideal for visiting popular attractions nearby, from St Ives, Penzance and St Michael's Mount, to slightly further drive distances for many more.

不喜欢 The showers require you to keep pressing the taps. The hot water takes a long time to come through later in the day, and is warm, not hot.

不喜欢 Toilet block was not cleaned properly- two of the toilets blocked up when we arrived in the Monday - still
Blocked on the Friday- no one had come to repair - luckily it wasn’t too busy!

Breakfast in cafe poor, luke warm sausages and fried bread egg covered in cooking oil, didn’t go back !!
