A South Downs National Park setting with gorgeous views across valleys and farmland? Say no more: Hampshire's Cedar Valley has spacious pitches with all of the above, plus access to neat and tidy amenity cabins housing showers, toilets and sinks. The pitches are suitable for families or other groups: send the kids to the designated mown area to play football, fly kites or muck around. For downtime from the kids, adults can beeline to The Dell, the lively on-site pizza restaurant, bar and café (typically open on Friday to Sunday; opening hours and days vary throughout the year). Barbecues and campfires are permitted to allow you to live that proper outdoorsy lifestyle. West Meon and East Meon, both five minutes' drive away from the site, have small village shops should you need to pick up any last-minute supplies. Plus, when you need to clean up after your group barbecues or picnics, there is also a covered washing-up area provided on site. Thinking about where to go exploring? Cedar Valley is within half an hour's drive of the south coast and an hour and a half from London. It's surrounded by countryside with scenic walks and cycling routes (including the South Downs Way, for the more ambitious hikers among you), as well as several wild swimming spots and some very fine Hampshire pubs.

喜欢 Loved the location. Surrounded by golden fields and undulating hills everywhere. It’s in an absolutely stunning area! Also a bargain at £15 per night.

不喜欢 My only gripe is lack of a rail/ bannister on the toilet block. Being disabled and having to use mobility aids, it was a real struggle to get up the 3 quite steep (for me) steps. Coming down was even more of a challenge! I’ve only become disabled over the last 2 years and it’s become quite an eye opener.

Having said that, the toilet/ shower block was very clean. The showers were powerful and lovely and hot!
I’ll still be coming back. There’s so much to explore!

喜欢 Loved!! Great shower facilities. Not over crowded (we where in the groups aloud field) not too loud. Great time. Will defo be back. I didnt get to the Dell. Which i want to gmdo next time

喜欢 Stayed for a race event, easy to come and go from site and can park next to pitch.
Start of school holidays so busy and lots of kids but families followed the 9pm cut off so it was quiet in the evenings but it did mean there were queues for toilets/showers at key times.
Showers hot and kept clean, regular check ups done by staff.

不喜欢 Minor point - site is quite sloped and winds do whip across even in hot weather so need to plan kit accordingly.

喜欢 Lovely spacious site. Good facilities. The Dell provides something additional to do in the evenings on weekends. Fantastic showers.

不喜欢 The only, very small minor, is the ground is very rocky so be prepared for a few bent tent pegs!

喜欢 The camping area. Walkable facilities and very pleasant and chatty wardens. I had a really nice time.

不喜欢 Small sized signs of the camping fields names.

喜欢 It was a very quiet campsite. The amenities were excellent. And the view from the meadow was nice.

不喜欢 We arrived on Sunday. The pizza restaurant and the bar were closed at 3:30. Sunday evening is not the weekend here.
The meadow is huge but at an angle. there is very little space that is even. The whole campsite is huge. We didn’t see anything but the meadow.
We couldn’t sleep because it was very windy, and there was nothing to break the wind.

喜欢 We stayed at the Meadow for 2 nights. The campsite and the toilets are clean and tidy. During our stay was the FIFA world cup and the Dell had it! Enjoyed very much watching the England world cup in the Dell with others!

不喜欢 No hairdryer and hand dryer I guess, at least I didnt see one.
The campsite was so windy all days and nights even during the heatwave, like having a storm! Can barely sleep as the wind made so much noise to the tent. Other than this which is not controlled by human, all very good!

Get out via two wheels: several decent bike tracks are on the estate itself or you can pedal off around the area's many lanes and bike routes. A good run is to Petersfield (15 minutes' drive) to stock up on armfuls of fresh produce at the Wednesday and Saturday markets. If trotting's more your thing, ask the Cedar Valley team about the pony rides available in the surrounding countryside: both experienced and amateur riders can take their pick from three-hour rides through first-class woodland, or around the area's cross-country course. If you prefer your equine animals at a speedy distance, the racecourse at Goodwood is about half an hour's drive away. More of a foot-based wanderer? The Cedar Valley team has mapped out many walks in the area so you can wander off to see where your feet might take you. The South Downs Way is close by: try the walk from Petersfield to Cocking, via Nursted Copse and Harting Down.
