Whitegate Leisure Caravan and Camp Site

喜欢 Great location, stunning views, excellent amenities- spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely that is a smaller site. Great walks from the site. Close to beautiful Holmfirth. Excellent welcome, although free WiFi was not mentioned.

不喜欢 It was not made clear that there should be no visitors to the site. Myself and my friends chose the site to camp because it was located in the middle of us (Hertfordshire and Northumberland). We also asked some other friends, who lived closer, to come and meet us for the day. We invited them to come and join us for dinner but it was made clear that this was “against the rules!” We weren’t being noisy, just enjoying being together in a beautiful location. We were told that they had overstayed and got the impression (although not told directly) they had to go. I apologised because I clearly hadn’t read the rules clearly but honestly didn’t think it would matter, as they were another family. It left a bitter taste being spoken to like a naughty child and spoiled our evening.

喜欢 Just had 3 nights in our motorhome and it was outstanding everything about the place is 10/10 from the spotlessly clean toilets and showers to the very warm welcome you receive from the owners, stunning views and a short 40mins walk into Holmfirth will definitely be returning.

喜欢 Very friendly, helpful and approachable staff. Lovely quiet site fully equipped with showers, toilets, wash up area, dog/boot wash etc. excellent value for money.
Lovely surrounding countryside and views. Good dog walking.

喜欢 Great site although set high on the moors so windy.
Very clean and great welcome from owner.

喜欢 Absolutely brilliant campsite , spotless facilities and always a great welcoming by the owner , there is some great walks nearby and there’s about a 35 minute walk down through the fields to a couple of pubs

喜欢 As soon as we arrived, Geoff came and welcomed us to the park, explained where everything was and that we had our pick of pitch, it was a very warm welcome. The toilets and showers was available throughout the night, which my partner was happy about, the toilets was heated which was a welcome surprise. There was a wind turbine behind the camping area, which was a nice consistent hum, which was great for white noise, wasn’t too noisy just a slight hum in the background. The power hookup points was greatly positioned. WiFi was great, didn’t realise there was WiFi until the last night but that wasn’t too bad as we went to avoid all that.

不喜欢 Honestly couldn’t fault a thing which the stay besides the wind which was horrendous which was just our luck, but reminded me of childhood
