Roll up all you Harry Potter fans – now you can embark on a camping adventure with views of Alnwick Castle, where so many scenes from the famous film franchise were shot. Set on a two-acre field, Heckley Farm Camping is a laidback, off-grid sort of place, with a very limited number of spacious grass pitches on a working Northumberland farm. To the west of the field, a large beech hedge provides shelter from the prevailing westerly wind. Wherever you pitch on the field, you’ll be surrounded by wildlife; you can expect to see some of the barn owls, buzzards, hares and deer that live around the farm. The surrounding land is a mixture of cattle and arable farming, and you’re sure to meet the three pet pigs. As this is pretty much wild camping, there’s no electricity on site, although drinking water and clean portable toilets are provided. You'll be allowed to park at your pitch for easy setting up. You're welcome to bring your own firepits here (note, no open fires are allowed). It’s a firmly family-friendly vibe at this low-key, relaxed site; it is certainly not a spot for party animals.

喜欢 I loved the quiet location. I enjoyed seeing the horses and cattle in the fields nearby. This is a working farm. A nearly wild camp experience as there was drinking water and a portaloos provided

不喜欢 It is ashame that you can not walk safely into Alnwick town as it is off a busy country road with no footpath.

喜欢 Amazing field and neatly kept ...once booked just open the gate and pitch up ...the toilets are very clean and the surroundings are very quiet ..slabs are at hand for your firepit and there is a picnic table available to use too ...this is now my favourite site and deffo be returning on a regular basis
