喜欢 The site was in a nice secluded area with decent sized pitches and facilities of a good standard.
Welcomed on arrival and shown pitch etc.

不喜欢 The dog walk field had parts of the fence missing which meant we could not let our dog off the lead to run.

Not the campsites fault but some young people in motorhome playing extremely loud music at 3.30am in the morning! Guess that’s the thing with unmanned sites.

喜欢 Nice and quiet. Met Kate not long after my arrival. She was super friendly and super helpful. Electric and water at the pitch side. The ablutions were spilt down into cubicles that each contained toilet, shower and basin so you could do everything in one go in privacy. Even though the site was pretty full, access to the facilities was instant, no queuing.

喜欢 Nicely laid out site, with fairly level pitches- no ramps needed on our one. Significantly cheaper than two other sites nearby. Felt safe and secure.
Nice setting, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming on arrival.
Toilet facilities were all clean and regularly serviced. They were in individual bathrooms with sink and shower - 3 for men and 4 for ladies, which doesn’t sound like many, but we never had to queue. They might benefit from a refresh, but were perfectly adequate and clean.
The washing up sinks had a view of the site rather than staring at a wall, which was surprisingly pleasant. Laundry facilities were coin operated and very reasonably priced.
We cycled into the city centre, which only took 15-20 mins. Big shopping centre close by, so easy for topping up supplies.
Some have mentioned traffic noise - this was only noticeable during the day but wasn’t intrusive, and more importantly it was non existent at night.

喜欢 Spacious, clean environment, quiet, friendly people, feel safe and good facilities. (Warm showers, clean toilets, laundry room, sinks to for washing up).
And convenient for getting in and out of York City centre (10 min drive)
