Portaloos on sight and the bathroom facilities well-maintained.

不喜欢 Paper mill started early the next day.
Portaloos could be better maintained- esp. after a busy weekend.

喜欢 Scenery and views; no designated pitches, so freedom to choose.

不喜欢 Not enough facilities for number of campers re showers, basins, toilets and washing up sinks. Shower quality just okay. Portaloos had been placed around the campsite, but the one nearest us was in a disgusting condition, with no water available to wash your hands. Site not worth the £31 we paid.

喜欢 Location, the walk into Settle was lovely.

不喜欢 The whole site! Very irresponsible, despite the government alert, still allowing guests to have camp fires, BBQ's and large open fires. Owners was not bothered at all. It was very loud until early hours, field sounded like it had its own DJ. I would advise not to book here!

不喜欢 At the price paid we’d expect to be given a pitch with some sort of space. When we arrived the field was full and we were told to pitch up anywhere - found a spot about 20cm in between a tent and a van. £33 and not even given a pitch - the site seems to prioritise squeezing as many people in as possible, rather than making it a nice stay. 2 dirty showers for hundreds of people. Glad we only stayed one night!
We’ve stayed in much better places with far more space for a far cheaper price!

喜欢 The views are stunning and its around a 20 minute walk into Settle which is on a country road. Owner is friendly and helpful. Lots to see and do around the area so ideal location. Okay for a cheap and cheerful weekend. Check in and out times really good.

不喜欢 Stayed last weekend and a portaloo on each field were not emptied or working correctly, smelled awful so didnt end up using them!! The ladies toilets only has two toilets and two showers so for the size of the campsite and amount of people visiting the facilities especially in school holidays, prepare to wait.

Gents toilets there are only two toilets and two showers and no urinals.

喜欢 We’ve stayed before and it’s ideally located for town and its amenities.

不喜欢 Sadly we were disappointed this time as there just wasn’t enough showers and toilets for how busy it was. The portaloos were full and unusable.

喜欢 When we arrived we were made to pay an extra £80 for other ‘pitches’. We were a camper van, car & tent however we had called before going, to check how they would accommodate us, and if we had to just add 2 vehicles on when we booked online, told this was fine but when we got there we had to pay extra. Fine, understandable. However they didn’t then accommodate the 2 vehicles we have already paid, so paid more than needed. We set up on the field (it was looked after well) but as the day went on more and more people came. By the time we left, the field was completely full with barely any space between peoples ‘pitches’.

A very loud group was set up next to us who played music and shouted / screamed until nearly 2am every night. The rules of no music after 10pm is not enforced at all, somebody got into an argument whilst we were there due to noise at stupid hours.

The portaloos were fine to begin with but by the end of our first day they were unusable with dirty nappies / sick in them. Which didn’t get cleaned the whole weekend we were there. The walk to the main toilets was a bit far and there were only 2, for the amount of people that were on the field I don’t think 2 were enough. The showers had a lot of dirt on the floor and the wash room is tiny, only enough space for 1 person to wash their things at a time.

喜欢 This review is for the main camping field not the cl site The site is perfectly situated to enjoy the surrounding countryside with walk directly from the campground. The pretty town of settle is a short walk away with plenty of pubs, bar restaurants and cafes.

不喜欢 It say no noise after ten be aware that this isn’t enforced theres no structure to where you park or pitch. There is actually no structure to anything kids dogs and adults roam free huge parties set up camp like something out of a cowboy film bbqs everywhere even during the recent phone alert. It feels more like a festival with music and loud behaviour until at least two in the morning. Showers hot cleanliness hit and miss.

喜欢 We chose a pitch on the bottom field next to the river which was lovely…great views too. Settle was a 15 minute walk away so ideal to grab food and had a few drinks. Handy co-op and Asda express for any essentials.

不喜欢 The portaloos dotted around the site were absolutely filthy, we couldn’t use them and walked up to the top of the site where there are 2 ladies and 2 men’s toilet, these were cleaner and worth the extra walk.
Very expensive for rank toilets and no EHU. I’ve stayed at some lovely pop up campsites for under £20 per night.
People not following camp rules, it got busy on the Friday night…with kids running and screaming around our tent close to midnight, parents no where to be seen. Vehicles speeding through the field with kids running about too which was a disaster waiting to happen.
