喜欢 The animals to keep the kids occupied.

不喜欢 Being placed next to the cesspit outlet, so there was a constant smell of human excrement throughout our stay.
The value for money, other sites have a lot more to offer for the price.

喜欢 The campsite is set in a nice location for surrounding villages.
There are animals on the site (pigs, goat, horse and rabbits) for the children to see. The goats even come out at night.
Fire pits and bbqs allowed.
Large pitches with a good sized communal space in the middle.
Gated.

不喜欢 Rubbish was left on the pitch - plastic cutlery, used plasters, gel sachets, wrappers and cigarette butts. Possible some of this could have been blown in but some of it was pushed into the grass as if it had been left previously. Real shame about the rubbish - previous campers/ pitch had not been tidied.

Not the sites fault but the bathrooms definitely could be cleaner - more about courtesy of other campers.

Noise of others guests on pitch next to us. Beyond 11pm - not great for campers with young children.

喜欢 We have just returned home after spending a week at this site with my partner and our two children.


The site itself is lovely, with spacious pitches and a water tap provided at each pitch. The presence of the animals is also a welcome feature and provides an excellent opportunity for children to interact with them.

不喜欢 Late check-in:

A 3:30 p.m. check-in time feels considerably later than that offered by many other sites, and I am unclear as to the reason for this.

This was particularly frustrating because, throughout our stay, we did not see anyone cutting the grass or cleaning and preparing pitches after guests had departed at 11 a.m. There appears to be sufficient time between departures and the next check-in, so it is difficult to understand why arrivals need to be delayed until so late in the afternoon.

Road Noise:

Near a busy main road, and traffic noise made sleeping difficult at times, with us being woken as early as 5am most days.

Insufficient toilets and showers:

There are simply not enough toilet and shower facilities for the size of the site. There are only two toilets per gender, and because the showers and toilets are combined, each shower in use effectively makes one of the toilets unavailable.

As a result, the facilities become heavily congested, particularly during busy periods, and queues for the toilets are not uncommon.

The layout is also far from ideal. When using the shower, there is a gap beneath the partition adjoining the toilet. This means it is very easy to hear - and, unfortunately, smell -someone using the adjacent toilet. This creates a particularly uncomfortable experience and does not provide the level of privacy one would reasonably expect from suitable shower facilities.

Cleanliness:

The cleanliness of the toilets and showers was poor throughout our stay which made them particularly uninviting to use

There were marks and stains on the walls and doors , cobwebs around the facilities, and visibly blocked filters on the extractor fans. These issues remained throughout the week and did not appear to be addressed.

In fact, I attempted to clean some of the marks and dirt myself to establish whether they could be removed, and they could.

The toilets were also not cleaned for extended periods of time on most days. Given the heavy use of the limited facilities, I believe they should be cleaned considerably more frequently.

I appreciate that facilities can become untidy when they are heavily used. However, these were clearly issues requiring proper regular cleaning and maintenance rather than simply being the result of normal guest use.

There were also occasions when no hand towels or other means of drying hands were available, which was particularly disappointing given the limited facilities and high level of use.

Sewage smell:

There was a strong, foul sewage-like odour coming from the toilet area, which made using the facilities particularly unpleasant.

Water pressure:

The water pressure across the site is extremely poor. Showering can be difficult because the flow reduces to little more than a trickle whenever water is being used elsewhere on the site.

We also experienced issues with the toilet cisterns failing to refill properly after flushing, which I suspect may also be related to the poor water pressure.

The hot-water taps were also faulty. Even when nobody else appeared to be using the facilities, I struggled to fill a bowl with hot water to shave.

Pot-wash area:

There is only one pot-wash station, which seems inadequate for the size of the site.

To make matters worse, it is not illuminated, making it particularly difficult to use after dark. There is also no bin provided in the pot-wash area, which is another small but noticeable omission.

Additional charges:

The honesty box asks guests to pay £1 per shower. While this may be a reasonable charge in principle, it is not made clear at the time of booking. It also feels disappointing given the poor water pressure, limited facilities, and general standard of cleanliness and maintenance.

喜欢 Lovely site, really secure. Clean toilets and showers, shared fridge was a nice touch. The animals and woods were an added bonus for the kids and kept them entertained. Great location. Will definitely stay again

喜欢 Lovely area and peaceful. Even with kids on site it was lovely peaceful. Had the pleasure of meeting the goats, pigs and rabbits.

喜欢 Amazing campsite ! Clean toilets, showers and all communal areas. My kids had the best time! Feeding the animals, running round the field my nearly 2 year old son spent that much time sat next to the pigs I think he thinks he is one now! The owners are absolutely lovely! Both so helpful and easy to talk too! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

喜欢 Lovely location, nice enclosed field. Automatic gates which can only be controlled via mobile phone so kids or dogs can't accidentally stray out. The pitches are well away from the exit too.

Indvidual water hookup right next to the pitch was a bonus, plus the electric hookup.

The pitches are huge - minimum of 10x10 metres, we had a 7.5 x 3m tent plus a porch with bags of room to spare. I love that the middle area is kept clear for playing. The pitches aren't allowed parking but you can drive on and off to pitch up / pack up. Really makes the site look a lot tidier.

Loved having the animals to see and play with. My 2 girls loved the pigs and I was chuffed when the sheep and goats came through.

Showers and toilets were clean, well lit and not too far from the pitches which was very welcome overnight. Also checked and cleaned regularly which I saw a few times.

Very friendly owners too, they pop round to chat with everyone from time to time which is a nice touch.

The recent dry and hot weather unfortunately prevented us from having a fire which can't be helped, the site were adhering to government guidance which is good to see.

This was our first family camping trip and we loved it despite some rain on the last 2 days. We will definitely look to book again

喜欢 The animals on the farm, my kids absolutely loved going to see them all day long. Location is lovely, nice and quiet. Secure site so no one can enter.

不喜欢 The lady who owned it didn’t really take a shine to us. Because we arrived early we had to pay an extra £10 each to get in early. We didn’t realise you had to pay an extra £10 for a pup tent, although the only reason we brought it was so our two youngest could go to the toilet during the night rather than walking across the field to the toilet. The sewerage smell coming from the toilets was absolutely vile! Couldn’t park cars next to the tents while staying there. Vending machine was extremely expensive £2 for a pack of super noodles and £1 for a tiny box of cereal. £1 donation to use the showers. Didn’t hardly see the owners only when she came to complain about something we had brought. Won’t be coming again, as we thought we were being watched all the time everything we did she wasn’t pleased with. Just total greed.
