Off to the Yorkshire Dales to delve down into caves or to venture up into the Yorkshire Three Peaks? Whether it’s caverns, waterfall trails or the mountains that have drawn you to this area, Falls Park makes a quiet and spacious dog-friendly base in a handy spot a mile from Ingleton and 10 minutes’ drive away from White Scar Cave and 20 minutes from Kirkby Lonsdale (a historic market town with the medieval Devil’s Bridge). From here you’ll be off to see waterfalls in no time, as the site has access to the nearly five-mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a long-established and popular trail that's all about the sublime scenery. Please note that access to the Waterfalls Trail is an additional cost for customers. On top of that, the site itself has views of a limestone valley and Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a prime spot for a challenging hike between the summits. Peaceful’s the vibe here, as that’s how the site has been planned and designed, so you’ll be all ready to unwind with the scenic Yorkshire Dales landscape surrounding you. Facilities include a chemical toilet disposal point, drinking water points, washing-up room, wifi and an amenities block with a male, female and disabled toilet and shower. With Ingleton village within walking distance (an hour and 10 minutes’ walk away or 10 minutes’ drive), powering up before your next outing is easily done, thanks to its food shops, restaurants, tearooms and pubs. Please note there is a steep single-track road to access the site, which is very narrow. Whilst there are occasional passing places on the lane, this site is only suitable for campervans and motorhomes.

喜欢 Quiet site with large tent pitch, good views, very clean facilities, friendly helpful staff, enjoyed having the takeaway drinks and snacks cafe, walks from the site, really enjoyable 4 night holiday. Thankyou. Will definately return.

不喜欢 In the female shower block the light was on a timer and for ladies washing our hair aswell as a shower a longer time slot would be appreciated as twice I was left in the dark!! Not a problem, just a comment! The showers were always hot and always clean. Thankyou.

喜欢 This is a great park with great facilities, clean and warm showers and toilets, nice flat tent pitches.
The walk to Ingleton is superb along the falls trail.

不喜欢 The cost, it is on the high side especially for a van.

喜欢 The most beautiful location and so very peaceful. Probably one of the most peaceful sites we’ve ever been on
Clean facilities and the couple who run it are so friendly and helpful- good tips for local walking routes.

喜欢 Views of Ingleborough summit.
On the Ingleton Waterfall trail - quick access to some stunning falls and gorges.
Solid, raised stone tables for cooking.
Top class toilets and shower facilities.
Owners very nice and helpful. They do regular checks to make sure everyone is happy.

不喜欢 Some quiet background noise from the nearby quarry but wasn't an issue for me.
Some loud revellers, but it was the weekend in summer and it's not something the owners can completely control.

喜欢 The location and scenery is top notch. It was very peaceful at night. The bathrooms are lovely and clean. Site is well kept.

不喜欢 We were in the campervans area, and yes I know it’s there land, but 1 sheep and a ram appeared to live in the small circle for the vans. We lovingly named them shaun and Sian. However, when you have a dog, who is interested in sheep, having 2 walking around the actual van and being quite happy staring the dog out from 2 metres away, did not help. Yes they are everywhere, but being outside you can door is another level. Mind by the time we left the dog seemed to have calmed down with them and accepted that they were there.

So where should you set your compass to first? There are impressive scenes all around, from guided tours around the longest show cave in Britain, White Scar Cave (10 minutes’ drive) to the mighty 104-foot-high Ribblehead Viaduct (15 minutes) with its 24 arches towering over the moorlands. The threads of nature run strong here too and that’s evident from Gisburn Forest (40 minutes), where walking, cycling and mountain biking trails are just some of the ways to snake through the treetops and spy on skulking wildlife. There’s a nature trail over at Ingleborough Cave (20 minutes) too – but of course cave walks are where the action’s really at. Up towards the sky instead, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (half an hour) might already be the quest you have in mind, but if not, perhaps you’ll want to give the 24-mile route over Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent a go while you’re here. For an easier day out, take a hike around Malham Cove (40 minutes) or stroll around Skipton (45 minutes), a market town with lots of places to eat, as well as a traditional town hall, castle, museum and gallery.
