喜欢 The camp site rules were short and fair for all at the site.
The atmosphere across the camp was friendly and an excited buzz with people playing games, fires blazing, smell of food in the air.
Facilities were always clean and there was never became unavailable due to over use.
I received very helpful recommendations on places to visits during my stay.

喜欢 Great location with fantastic walks nearby, quiet, spacious campsite with plenty of room per group - friendly host who gave lots of advice for places to visit nearby. Facilities were clean and no issues at all!

喜欢 The open fields. The space between campers. The toilet/shower block was always clean and available to use. The fire pits to hire. Friendly couple running the site.

喜欢 Lovely quiet site and love how they separated families from adult only campers. We were a group of 16 with kids aged 10 -12 years old between us and they played football every evening with other campers and explored the adjoining field.

Clean facilities and we had a fire pit on a couple of nights as well.

The owners also got our friends car started as well, so a bonus!

6 mins drive from Alton Towers.

5 mins drive from a from a great chippy called Jim's Plaice in Waterhouses.

10 mins drive from Stepping Stones at Dovedale and IIam National Trust property.

For those who like to be hurtled about at great speeds and heights, happiness awaits: it’s 10 minutes to the assorted excitements of Alton Towers, and for those who haven't quite graduated to the big league, an array of rides aimed at younger clientele are at Gulliver’s Kingdom, 40 minutes away. For active stuff in the outdoors, make for the Dovedale valley, 20 minutes away for walks and rides through the fab surrounds of the southern Peak District. If you prefer a splash of water with your adventures, wend your way over to Carsington Water (25 minutes) for kayaking, sailing and fishing as well as walks and bike rides round the reservoir. For more urban antics, meanwhile, sidle over to Stoke Skatepark (40 minutes), a mecca for concrete acrobats. Penchant for the past? The Churnet Valley Steam Railway is 10 minutes' drive away, while the fine old stately piles of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are within 45 minutes. It's a similar distance to the Crich Tramway Museum and the Heights of Abraham, a Victorian pleasure ground reached by cable car from Matlock Bath, with a fossil museum, caverns and acres of upland parkland. For animal fans, there’s horse trekking from the Beaver Hall equestrian centre, 10 minutes away, and very close by, encounters with lemurs, penguins, wallabies and pygmy goats at the Peak Wildlife Park.
