The photo over neighbouring Kilvington lakes does say it all for us in our first season. And as the sunsets on the consistent positive feedback I want to thank you and every other booking of the happiness the positive feedbacks have given us.

In relation to the portable toilets the Dunny is in operation. And our off grid experience has brought a lot of people to our peaceful place.

喜欢 Great site , very quiet , pitches were really good size, quirky little site, with some lovely little places to wander around and explore in the woods.
Dave the owner is very welcoming .
Will definitely come again .

不喜欢 Nothing disliked, just maybe needs abit more signage, better sign on the main road highlighting the entrance, also which field tents go on and where the dog walk is🐕

It’s the 20 the week as we run down to the end of the season and it’s been a massive positive overall.

Signage - all in hand with a site map being done as we speak.

Signage on the main gate has sufficed the last 20 weeks and we ask all customers to use what3words. However understandably a good idea but comes with a cost.

Trying to keep the site off grid and basic and all the feedback confirms we are not far off.

As agreed I will review end of season and amend changes needed including the infamous dunny as promised.

喜欢 Recently had a 2 night getaway in the bell tent, with my best friend.
We felt immersed in nature whilst having the luxuries of a beautiful bell tent, hot tub and the best outdoor shower I’ve ever had.
Dave was enthusiastic and attentive. Very welcoming and we chatted about his future plans for the site. All sound amazing. We will be returning soon.

喜欢 Fantastic setting and true to owners description. Lots of thoughtful additions and Dave couldn't have been more helpful. Hot-tub great, shower great, open space in a unique setting. Battery power also supplied which was a bonus. The kitchen area is also excellent with a gas bbq provided for basic cooking.

喜欢 Very quiet, with only a few slots available you need to be on the ball for booking, however not a negative is you like your piece and quiet. The camp site is relatively new and I can see the effort put in to it getting going. The owner being friendly and sociable , least I forget knowledgable about the local area. Lets be up front , its a new site and the facilities are a work in progress, we had tents not a camper and the showers where a little to exposed but like I said a work in progress with the managment open to input. Its a basic experience which is refreshing and although I like facilities it lets you appreciate what you have. The pitches are large and unlimited according to the site advert the toilet facilities are adaquate , how ever the fresh water outlet was on the othe side of the area amongst the other pitches. There is facilities for dogs with a run and an area that can be closed off but doubles as a staging areafor the owner. Now I like to roam and to the right of the entrance gate is access via a public foot path, this leads to a largish lakes with walks that encompass it. The locals are nice and friendly but you have to be aware that the lake is a wild reserve and not for recreation. The wild fowl do not seem to interested in acoustic guitar playing as I found out. All in all I enjoyed the stay and facilities and look forward to returing. Now the owner is working hard to create facilities for a charity to allow specific individuals to enjoy a resprite, a very noble and charitable cause, any donations of any sort will be appreciated by all who will end up using the facities something to consider , pass it on friends.

不喜欢 As i have no experience in creating a campsite or managing one please take my opinions with consideration. Firstly another toilet to prevent use of the one dedicated for the bell tent, and an alternative hot tub for use by those not staying at the bell tent retreat would possibly be a bonus down the road. The showers really need to be nore privatly secure. Be aware there is not Wifi or signal for phones and I think a device dedicated to gaining access would have issues.

喜欢 Back to nature wild camping with basic facilities ( water, outdoor shower, basic toilet ) good safe dog friendly area with woodland walks. Some work in progress but great off grid site

喜欢 Very quiet, peaceful location with lots of options for walks straight from the site and a secure dog walking area on the site itself.

Pitches are very large and well spaced.

Excellent communication from the site owner.

不喜欢 Very much a “work in progress” site which is still in its first season, toilet facilities in particular could do with an upgrade…

I’ve addressed internal gate exiting issue with additional system and installed a Dunny near to pitches.

In relation to work in progress it certainly is but I’m
Overly pleased that all campers enjoy the off grid experience and woodland surroundings.
