If you’re keen to stay in the open air but don’t want to miss out on a nightly pint in a cosy local, Swan Lake Caravan Park might just be the place for you. The grass pitches at this adults-only site sit behind the White Swan pub, a traditional boozer in the Nottinghamshire village of Dunham on Trent. There are other advantages to staying here besides the proximity to the pub: the site is just off the A57 (and therefore easy to reach), plus there are bus stops nearby, and it will welcome your canine buddy. On top of that, it has its own fishing lake. Ready to explore the Nottinghamshire countryside? A 10-minute walk takes you to the Dunham Toll Bridge and the path that runs along the River Trent. Then you can walk (or cycle) south towards Fledborough Viaduct and on to Girton Lakes (a five-mile hike); or head north, towards Torksey Castle (about four miles). If you’re feeling adventurous, the Skellingthorpe Walk is a 10-mile path leading all the way into Lincoln (allow at least four hours on foot… or 20 minutes by car). The site has modern toilet and shower facilities, freshwater points and chemical waste disposal, plus an area where you can wash up after your barbecue.

喜欢 Absolutely loved this place.. Paul was such a great guy at reception, so friendly and accommodating.
Toilet block with a shower which was immaculately clean, chemical disposal waste and a place to wash dishes. You can't fault it!
The Swan Pub is behind the site for a lovely meal.. staff were lovely.
Will definitely be visiting again 😁

喜欢 Just got back from our weekend here.
We had the most amazing weekend.
Loved everything about it!!
Fishing was fab, toilets and showers are lovely and clean. Pitches are an excellent size.
Paul the site manager is lovely couldn't be more polite and helpful same with his wife there a credit to the site!!
Can't wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

喜欢 Easy to get to.
Pitches good size and well spaced out with EHU close to each pitch.
Manager is fantastic, very helpful, chatty and so happy.
Toilet/Shower facilities are spotless as well as the grounds.
White Swan serves great food.

不喜欢 Road noise, although that quietens down after 6.

喜欢 Lovely little site, relaxed and laid back.
Facilities were clean and well looked after.
Although on the A57 there were walks for our dogs that were easily accessible.
Warden was friendly and nothing seemed a problem. Open all year so hopefully will return

The attractions at Sundown Adventureland (five minutes’ drive) were built with younger visitors (under the age of 10) in mind – kids can ride a tractor or meet the characters from The Wizard of Oz on the Yellow Brick Road snaking through the forest. There are historical reenactments celebrating this folklore hero, or you can simply explore wooded trails, looking out for birds like woodpeckers and pipits.
