A lovely campsite.

All motorhome amenities available and to a very high standard.
Great walks and cycling in the forest and lots for kids to do.
Toilet block very clean.
We took the option of leaving at 5pm instead of 11am, for a fiver, which was really nice and no rush to pack up!

喜欢 Friendly, remote, quiet clean toilets, well kept site, large pitches, good touring facilities
不喜欢 Small hand wash facilities but not big enough to have a morning wash, nowhere to hang anything, poor mobile coverage, on ee, three and 02 in this area

Good site, confusing rules

喜欢 The campsite was clean and had good walking routes.
不喜欢 On the pitch up and the website it says if you are arriving after 8pm the reception is unmanned but you can ring and the office will provide you with your pitch number. We were arriving late due to work and traffic, so rang ahead and rather than the wardens providing us with our pitch number they insisted on greeting us. Then I texted them as we got stuck in more traffic. Then I got a phone call asking where we were and I asked for our pitch number and still was told no. Then on our day of leaving the grumpy male warden had a go at us telling us that we should not stay here if we will arrive late. Despite online it saying this is allowed. He was very rude and very unprofessional. Very disappointing as this is a lovely site.
I do understand we were very late arriving at 9.40 but if this is not allowed then the pitch up site should be altered and changed to reflect this.
