Grab the dog (if you've got one – no need to acquire one specially) and head to Cresslands Touring Park in South Lincolnshire for woodland walks and lazy days near the River Glen. A good base for exploring the surroundings and enjoying a bit of outdoor time, the park is five minutes from a peaceful woodland, for long walks and spotting wildlife (including the kingfishers which live along this stretch of the glen). Guests can also head to the nearby river for walks, or take bikes out onto quiet countryside lanes. Not got a mutt? The site's also welcoming to cats, rabbits… even kids. Whoever's in your party, head to the opposite riverbank for a popular walking spot leading to the nature reserve along the Macmillan Way, a long-distance footpath linking Boston in Lincolnshire to Abbotsbury in Dorset. After all that fresh air you won’t have to venture far for a drink and a bite to eat – Waterside Garden Centre is 500 metres away with a restaurant, and there are a few pubs around a mile away if you fancy some pub grub. Cresslands is four miles south of Bourne, which has a greater selection of eateries, and the historic town of Stamford, with its attractions such as the famed Burghley House and Park and open-air theatre, is about a 25-minute drive. Bathroom facilities on site include two showers, two toilets and two wash basins with instant hot water and nifty extras including shaver ports and hand dryers. Two washing-up sinks and a washing machine are also available.

喜欢 Lovely owners couldnt do enough for you.
The site is lovely and quiet and the pitches are well spaced.
Some people comment about the noise of the road but tbh it wasnt bad, and after work hrs it was quite.
In the countryside but 3 miles up the road you have fuel , supermarket and small market town.
The toilet and showers were spotless.
Security barriers which is reassuring.
Would definitely return.

不喜欢 My family member did have mobility issues and having a shower would have have been difficult.
For future thought......Maybe a shower seat to be made available and possibly a handle in the shower. It wouldn't stop me returning but would be useful if needed.
Wouldn't put me off coming again though.

喜欢 The owner David is a friendly chap who cannot do enough for his visitors.
The pitch was fully serviced (something the hubby loves!) and large enough for us to spread out and enjoy the surroundings.
We had pitch 14 which is down the back of the site a little away from the road which helped with the road noise (something David cannot do anything about) and the abundance of trees helps screen the road noise.
The site is a haven for wildlife and for David's dog who wanders around freely living her best life!
Showers and toilets clean and well appointed.

喜欢 Well organised site , safeguarding nature, large pitches each on a gravel base.
Yes there is traffic noise but it was quiet over night.clean facilities.

不喜欢 Not manual wheelchair friendly as ground is either grass or gravel covered. No ramp to toilet area.

喜欢 Our new favourite campsite. Beautiful peaceful site very clean amenaties with nice hot showers that you dont have to keep pressing a button for the water. The site is beautiful and the hosts David and Jo are lovely easy going people. And offer help where needed. I will return many times fromnow on. The pitches are spacious with privacy hedges between pitches. Thank you David for your help and kindness.

喜欢 The site was excellent well done. The facilities were exceptionally clean. The Manager that booked us in was super helpful and on our walk round of the grounds we met the Owner who was super and very friendly. We love what you have created here and cant wait to come back.
