Looking for some downtime in pretty Lincolnshire? Noah’s Retreat will soon have you building barbecues or dabbling in watersports on the Lincolnshire coast, 20 minutes’ drive away. This small, friendly Laceby site welcomes dogs and families, and is just a 15-minute drive from Grimsby and 20 minutes from Cleethorpes. There’s plenty of countryside around Noah’s Retreat for walking your little furry companions, and they’re sure to be very pleased with the leftovers you wind up with after your barbecues. The keen golfers among you might want to get out on the golf course next door. Come nightfall, rustle up a firepit if you’d like (or get yourself an early night for the next day’s adventures). If you’d like something tasty to munch on around the pit, there are shops in Waltham five minutes’ drive away. And if you’d like to let someone else sort out your dinner for you, there’s also a bunch of takeaways, pubs and restaurants within five minutes’ drive of Noah’s Retreat. There are handy public transport links in the towns too.

喜欢 Really enjoyed our stay here, it felt really relaxing. Everyone was friendly too, the facilities were fine , probably could do with a referb but didn’t affect the use.
Had no issues with other guests

不喜欢 Where we pitched there wasn’t much grass, quite a lot of dried mud on the floor which got everywhere.

Toilets need a bit of a refurb

喜欢 This is a great relatively small, family run camp site. Close to Cleethorpes if you also want your camp to be a seaside holiday. The facilities are practical and clean. I particularly like the family bathroom. The pitches are spacious and in good condition. We were also allowed our gazebo up for some shade. Our kids had plenty of room to play around the campsite plus in the woods and around the lake. The staff are super helpful and friendly. We hired a BBQ from John, so handy and he takes it away and cleans it. Alan came and rescued our foam airplane from the top of a caravan. We had an all round great time

Get your coastal fix in Cleethorpes (20 minutes’ drive). The beach rents out single or double kayaks and paddleboards for those wanting to get out on the water and there’s a boating lake if you’d rather keep your paddles to a pedalo. Cleethorpes Country Park (20 minutes) is another popular spot for cycling, especially. Perhaps you’d like to inject a bit of history or education into your trip. One easy way to do this is by taking a ride on one of the UK’s oldest coastal miniature railways, the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway (20 minutes). Another is with a visit to Grimsby’s (15 minutes) minster and fishing heritage centre. Then, there’s the museum of rural life at the six-sail Waltham Windmill (five minutes) too. Lemurs, chameleons and meerkats, anyone? Kids can learn how to feed the zoo animals from the keepers at Jungle Zoo (20 minutes), a small family-run zoo.
