Looking for some downtime in pretty Lincolnshire? Noah’s Retreat will soon have you building barbecues or dabbling in watersports on the Lincolnshire coast, 20 minutes’ drive away. This small, friendly Laceby site welcomes dogs and families, and is just a 15-minute drive from Grimsby and 20 minutes from Cleethorpes. There’s plenty of countryside around Noah’s Retreat for walking your little furry companions, and they’re sure to be very pleased with the leftovers you wind up with after your barbecues. The keen golfers among you might want to get out on the golf course next door. Come nightfall, rustle up a firepit if you’d like (or get yourself an early night for the next day’s adventures). If you’d like something tasty to munch on around the pit, there are shops in Waltham five minutes’ drive away. And if you’d like to let someone else sort out your dinner for you, there’s also a bunch of takeaways, pubs and restaurants within five minutes’ drive of Noah’s Retreat. There are handy public transport links in the towns too.

Noah's Retreat has roomy, flat sites with a quiet vibe & nice countryside. Guests loved the friendly staff, clean amenities (hot showers!), & communal fire pit. Great value, with a lake & woodland walks a hit. Some found washrooms a bit dated & wished for more water taps/clearer signs. Management's working on it.

Liked Great location in general and good distance from amenities. Clean, quiet and well kept, couldn't fault it really.

Disliked Slightly outdated shower and toilet facilities but clean.

Liked Fantastic, no frills, quiet, clean friendly site with welcoming staff and owner, will definitely be rebooting on a regular basis

Disliked Showers and toilets showing their age, but in the process of upgrade.

Liked John was very helpful and seem very pleasant, pitch was nicely kept

Disliked Not really a dislike but washing up area looked like paint brush had been cleaned in them so unable to wash pots, I guess maintenance work is been done for the school holiday rush.

Liked - large spacious pitches with well maintained grass
-woodland walk - kids enjoyed exploring
-ice cream in the reception - kids enjoyed 😂
-spacious toilets/showers, hot and powerful showers, clean. Could do with a spruce up (dated)
-clean & tidy site

Disliked -only one water tap - could do with another at the bottom end of the field.

Local attractions

Get your coastal fix in Cleethorpes (20 minutes’ drive). The beach rents out single or double kayaks and paddleboards for those wanting to get out on the water and there’s a boating lake if you’d rather keep your paddles to a pedalo. Cleethorpes Country Park (20 minutes) is another popular spot for cycling, especially. Perhaps you’d like to inject a bit of history or education into your trip. One easy way to do this is by taking a ride on one of the UK’s oldest coastal miniature railways, the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway (20 minutes). Another is with a visit to Grimsby’s (15 minutes) minster and fishing heritage centre. Then, there’s the museum of rural life at the six-sail Waltham Windmill (five minutes) too. Lemurs, chameleons and meerkats, anyone? Kids can learn how to feed the zoo animals from the keepers at Jungle Zoo (20 minutes), a small family-run zoo.
