喜欢 Nice quiet site. Camping field has no cars allowed and views to the north. Showers were warm. I enjoyed the rustic feel

不喜欢 The website warns last check-in is 5pm. This accurate :-) we turned up at Abbey Farm (the actual farm) and the farm-hand didn’t know of the campsite, so it was a little confusing because the campsite location was not obvious.

喜欢 Lots of spac, great forest showers. John at the e-bike hire was brilliant describing the history of the area and cycle routes. Great few days.

喜欢 The private access and quietness of the site. I also loved the farm shop.

不喜欢 No light in the toilets so even in the daytime it was tricky to see as there was only a small gap letting in any light.

喜欢 We loved our gorgeous pitch in the magical glade and had a lot of fun with the woods to ourselves. Waterpoint and composting loo were ideal. It’s so great to be in the “wild” but also to have that amazing farm shop on our doorstep. Love the magical little touches to be found in the forest when you explore.
We definitely plan to come back.
The host was lovely and helpful too.

不喜欢 The only thing was that road noise was still quite loud in the woods, making you feel that little less secluded; but that can’t be helped.

喜欢 Beautiful location. Totally private. Nice welcome by the friendly owner. Primitive shepherds huts, but clean (this is NOT glamping). Private eco toilet. We loved the upside down bucket shower. Big kettle to heat water for shower and dishwashing and of course for tea and coffee.

不喜欢 No bin provided. In the confirmation it said that we had to take our rubbish home. This really surprised us as we were not going home and we felt that we paid quite well for this simple pitch. We were even more surprised to be told that we should bring our rubbish somewhere else for example a petrol station. We did not need petrol. Being an eco friendly farm shop and campsite, I didn’t feel this was an eco friendly remark.

喜欢 - very peaceful, private campsite
- love the effort to be eco-friendly
- option to camp by your car or walk your tent further out with a wheelbarrow
- lovely walk from the campsite through some fields and woodland to the farm shop (also a direct option)
- easy check-in process

喜欢 Beautiful view and grounds.

不喜欢 Lack of bins/recycling stations. Completely understand leave no trace but would be better to have accessible recycling at the shop at least.

喜欢 Views, space and its was quiet and relaxing

不喜欢 Wash up no hot water. And toilets were just a little too basic for my liking. But would stay here again for a short trip

喜欢 We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s so peaceful, with a gorgeous farm shop and lovely walking trails right from the campsite. The field is beautifully kept and everything was really clean, and the showers were lovely and hot.

Yes, the wash/toilet facilities are basic, but honestly, that’s exactly how camping should be…There’s nothing better than having a shower while looking up at the blue sky ☀️

We had such a lovely stay and genuinely can’t wait to come back
