When it comes to stays in the Peak District National Park, sometimes all you need is a simple and peaceful place to lay your head for the night, with basic facilities but very little to distract you from the gorgeous views all around. (Oh, and maybe a pub within walking distance…) If that's the sort of thing you seek, you’ll likely be most happy with your lot at South View Farm Camping. This is wild-ish camping (in that it’s got a toilet block and running water), spread over roughly four acres and on a very slight incline. As well as having fabulous views over to Bradwell Edge, there’s a gliding club close by, so you may spot some folk taking to the air. As befits a wild-style site, there's a laidback atmosphere in which you'll be allowed to bring a barbecue or light up a campfire, and dogs are welcome as long as they're kept under control and on a lead. There's a sink on site for topping up your drinking water, as well as washing-up sinks and rubbish bins. And that pub? It’s a mere five-minute walk along a footpath to the village of Little Hucklow and a pint of something local in the garden or by the fire (and a meal too, if you like). For more eating options, the local villages of Bradwell and Tideswell are about five minutes' drive away and have pubs, shops and takeaways. Working up an appetite for your dinner should be straightforward here, as you’ll be pretty much right in the centre of the national park with easy access to all the top hikes, activities and attractions.

The toilet block and washing area was virtually brand new and was very clean.
A quick phone call on arrival, allowed to pitch anywhere of your choice, followed by a very friendly welcome from Jade.

喜欢: Great campsite. Visited on a bank holiday and the site had plenty of space and didn’t feel over crowded at all.
Clean toilets and portaloos which were regularly maintained.
Great honesty box with lots of snacks.

不喜欢: Showers would be ideal (if staying for more than a couple nights).

喜欢: Amazing views, toilets always cleaned and well looked after, loved the space and pitch where you like ethos, fire pit rental even though we didn't get much use due to weather but not the sights fault.
Honesty box is a lovely idea.

喜欢: Beautiful campsite with stunning hillside views. Plenty of space on the site for you to find the perfect place to pitch your tent for the night. Very good communication from the site, we were messaged the day before with directions and other information about the site. We rented a fire pit from the site which really added to our experience. The toilet facilities on were very clean and very well kept. Excellent service overall from the campsite and somewhere we would definitely revisit when camping in the Peak District.

喜欢: The views here are incredible all around. Pitch where you like with plenty of space and different fields to choose from. The honesty box came in handy for getting marshmallows to toast on the fire. Toilet block and washing up area clean and well equipped. Good info given by Jade in advance.
