If the key components of your break in the Peak District National Park are a) easy access to walks, and b) easy access to a good post-walk pint, then you’ll probably be most pleased with the location of Yew Tree Farm Touring. This Derbyshire touring site is on the edge of the village of Wetton, opposite the village car park, which functions as the start point for several walking routes. That means that once you’ve parked your van, you can simply set out on foot to get to Thor’s Cave, meander along the Manifold Way or find various other ways to soak up some of the scenery. If you don’t mind a little bit of a drive, the likes of Dovedale and the Heights of Abraham can be on the schedule too. Wherever you end up (even if it’s Alton Towers, which is also nearby), you’ll be able to finish the day with a well-earned drink at the local pub, which is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the site. The village also has a tea room that’s open at weekends if a piece of cake and a cuppa is more your style. The site opens up its on-site refreshment trailer during summer weekends (from 10am to 5pm) to sell locally sourced Jersey ice cream, drinks and hot drinks. For dinner, you may want to bring along a barbecue and load it up with supplies from shops in Ashbourne (20 minutes’ drive) instead. Touring pitches are set up in a five-acre field, so there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out and have a bit of peace. There's a shower and toilet block on site, with outdoor washing-up facilities and a hot-water dog wash, as well as a chemical toilet disposal point.

Late arrival and departure option, perfect for the morning hike!

喜欢 Beautiful location, peaceful, walks from the site, food vans next door, handsome neighbours 🐮🐴, thoroughly enjoyed it.

不喜欢 Very tricky steep, winding narrow paths to and from Wetton. We wondered why we were the only caravan on site 😬. I'd bring a tent next time. Pub shuts at 9pm Friday.

喜欢 A lovely relaxing weekend at this site, surrounded by lovely scenery and walks.
Toilet and shower facilities really good and kept clean throughout the stay.
Hot food and drink wagons were a bonus, came in handy for some breakfast and cold drink.
Food at the Royal Oak was superb, (try the steak & ale pot pie).
Would thoroughly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing break.

喜欢 Lovely well kept flat pitched. Toilets and showers also very clean. Would have stayed a little longer if the weather stayed nice. As a solo female camper i will definitely book again. The highland cows were a lovely bonus.
