Presumably you’ve come in search of some lovely scenery as well as a peaceful experience? Well, there’s plenty of that around – a 20-minute drive will get you to Le Bessillon for hill hikes, or to either Sillans-la-Cascade or Chutes du Caramy, where you can finish your waterfall walk with a dip in the cool natural waters. Kids will no doubt enjoy a trip to Aoubré l'Aventure Nature (45 minutes’ drive), which has treetop adventure courses along with a barefoot trail and an animal park at ground level. They’ll also probably like a day at Lac De Sainte-Croix (an hour), with beach areas and watersports to try out. Over in the same area, the stunning Gorges du Verdon (an hour and a half) are well worth visiting as well. Closer to home, there are chances to check out some historic local dwellings at Château d’Entrecasteaux (15 minutes) and the troglodyte caves of Villecroze (25 minutes). Former Cistercian monastery Abbaye du Thoronet (half an hour) is another place that’s good to add to your list.
