Bryn y Cadno Camping

Tyckte om: Bryn y cadno is a fantastic site, run by a wonderful couple; Lis and Terry. They put so much care and attention into the site and it really shows throughout. Each pitch is really spacious, with plenty of space to pitch large tents and have space around, but with longer grass giving a feeling of privacy. Each pitch also has a picnic table and firepit with a barbeque grill. The big plus is a wooden compost toilet per pitch, regardless of camping or bell tent. These are brand new and super super clean, with toilet paper supplied, a bin and lighting. Much better than other normal toilets on other campsites. Plus they're cleaned really regularly. There's also a great shared washing up area with hot running water and a hot shower in the field, which was a real unexpected bonus and beautifully done, with mirror and shower supplies. There's a large trampoline near the main house along with swing ball and ride on toys. The kids loved spending time there on the days we stayed on camp, as did we as Terry and Lis were fantastic hosts, offering us cups of tea and a chat whilst the kids played. They also showed us round their amazing vegetable garden and let the kids pick some veg, which we added to our tea. It really felt like a home from home There's loads to do nearby (within 1/2 HR drive for most places), including some great castles, walks and the local town of Llandeilo, which are 10-15 mins drive away. Easy to get food supplies or have food out. We can particularly recommend the Plough Inn which was perfect for our coeliac son - a huge amount of gluten free food options and delicious. We stayed a week and would gladly have stayed longer, I can't recommend the site and Terry and Lis highly enough.

Tyckte om: A wonderful site run by a very accommodating couple. I loved the bell tent and where it was sited was very pretty and felt quite private. Sitting out under a starry night with the firepit and the sound of birdsong was so blissful and then turning in at night in a lovely cosy and comfortable tent topped it off. The convenience of your own private compost loo and kitchen area added to the comfort. I would full recommend this 5star glamping experience.

Tyckte om: This campsite is a hidden gem in a rural but accessible location. With the “good life” at its heart, the site and its surrounding grounds are picturesque and idyllic. Our pitch was spacious and extremely well maintained whilst keeping its natural beauty. The facilities were environmentally friendly, clean, and purposeful. Each pitch had its own compost toilet, picnic bench and fire pit. Wood for the fire, kindling and most importantly, marshmallows can be purchased from the farmhouse at a very reasonable price. Along with other items, such as freshly laid eggs! The Hosts, Elizabeth and Terry were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as perfect as can be. This included providing garden toys for the children, nets to play in the stream with and a trip to feed the lambs. They assisted us with our belongings to our pitch, were on hand to provide assistance and welcomed us from a long drive with the offer of a coffee and a sit down. As hosts, you really don’t get better. The campsite is in a great location to visit surrounding attractions. As a family of five, with children aged 5, 8 and 14, we visited the National showcases of Wales, hiked up Pen y Fan and explored a tropical wildlife park. All of which within 40 miles of the site. The local town is 3 miles away, with a large Coop, various shops, cafes and take always. The campsite has no phone signal, which turned out to be a blessing for our family trip. It meant all our attention was on each other and having good quality time together. We really enjoyed our time here and wished it was longer. We will be sure to return soon.
