Tyckte inte om The roads leading to the camp site are mainly single track or narrow. An uncomfortable drive in a big car.
The site is beautiful and maybe a little too quiet for young children.

Tyckte om We have just returned from Shepards Crag Glamping and I have to say what an outstanding site!

The views are incredible, the site was immaculate and Joe who runs the site was super accommodating and welcoming. He even let the children help him feed the lambs, which they all loved (have to say including the adults)

We came a group and had the whole site which was perfect as we had the combination of Glamping pods / safari tent for the less experienced campers and then the further 2 pitches.

We will certainly be making this an annual trip to this site and look forward to returning.

Peace and quiet, level pitches.
Compost loos are clean and there's a very handy communal kitchenette.
Joe was very friendly and helpful, letting us store our stuff in a secure and dry area during a storm.
The locally produced Wensleydale Cheese is delicious!!

Tyckte om We had the best time here in early July this year. So peaceful with such incredible views.

You are on a working farm which we thought was very special; surrounded by characterful sheep and dairy cows. The farm dairy is very reasonably priced and stocks their cheese and raw milk.

Joe, the shepherd who runs the campsite, was really helpful and it was nice to see him each morning on his way to check on his sheep. There are good facilities which were topped up daily. Composting loos, which were quite a novelty and hot showers. There was shampoo provided for showers and washing up liquid for the kitchen. There's a gas stove and also a fridge. Everything you could possibly need!

A great spot, perfectly placed between the Lakes and the Dales, whilst also being close to Arnside and Silverdale - it was particularly special being so close to the coast. Only three pitches and then two glamping options, so nice and small and quiet (I imagine quiet even if full, but we only had two lots of campers including us whilst there).

We'll definitely be booking again!

Tyckte om Really great views and location for access to the Lake District Peninsulas. The facilities are decent and not too far from the pitches

Tyckte inte om The farm road in has half the concrete broken so it is quite rutted, which does require you to go quite slow (which is hard if someone in a 4x4 is right behind you)

Tyckte om Great site, awesome elevated views. Toilets and great showers and power. Only a few pitches so doesn't get crowded. Really well maintained and thought through, and great hosts. Will be coming back

Tyckte om Absolutely perfect stay. Beautiful quiet & small site, very eco friendly, stunning views & Joe the owner was so lovely, very friendly. Good phone reception & very clean. Loved watching the lambs in the field & the ponies on the crag. Even had the site to ourselves on our last night. We'll definitely be back.

Also, would have been nice to have a hot shower.

Tyckte om Absolutely beautiful spot for camping. Surrounding hills and the lack of light pollution made it incredible for star gazing. We stayed in the little pod which had everything you needed and nothing you didn’t! Use of kettle and little camping stove plus a double bed what more do you need!
Facilities such as showers, self composting loos and communal fridge made our stay fantastic, very clean and fully stocked with saw dust and loo paper! Met one of these owners, Joe, who couldn’t have been more helpful! What a dude!
Cannot wait to go and stay again!

Tyckte om Beautiful setting, amazing views, lovely and quiet site. Toilets and shower were really nice. Hats off to being so eco friendly. Communal kitchen with gas burners was super handy when our gas ran out! Loved having the crags as you walk out of the site for some great walks. Can’t not mention the super friendly Rough fell sheep who greeted every morning! The site is really well situated for the lakes and the dales, will definitely be back.

Tyckte inte om The farms track and the roads approaching the farm can be a bit tricky. Obviously not a negative for the site but just something to be mindful of when visiting.
