Tyckte om The whole weekend was lovely, the Shepards hut was clean and lovely upon arrival. Ann was very accommodating prior to my visit.
The campsite was very nice.

Tyckte om Lovely pretty shepherds hut, very roomy and comfortable. Nice peaceful site, with great views, excellent location for southern lakes. Clean showers and loos. Wood etc left for burner.

Tyckte inte om Didn’t see owners at all. Thought it would have been nice to pop in to check everything was ok. Didn’t receive email from them either, so was a bit lost on arrival.
A few maintenance issues..outdoor settee broken at one end , the pull light in hut not working and one of the shower doors doesn’t stay closed.
Main issue, lots of different spaces and areas to stay, but theyve placed a permanent hard standing pitch right in front of the hut…so your view is of a caravan and bound to hear/see the people’s every move !
No mobile phone charging in hut.

Tyckte om I liked Everything! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The views are spectacular and we stayed in Roe Deer Lodge. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in apart from my own. I will definitely go again but camping next time.

Tyckte inte om This is my own fault because I didn't read site rules properly but you can only have a fire inside, which of course is awesome but as a predominantly camping couple, we love to chat around a fire pit.

Tyckte om The firepit is the stand out feature and made the pod cosy and was a lot of fun to cook on and toast marshmallows. We also appreciated the wall to wall bed which was great for two adults and a young child. Very comfortable.

Tyckte inte om A small issue but we did struggle to find the site. Entrance signage could be a little clearer, especially as there is large caravan park with a similar name about 2 minutes down the hill.

Tyckte om What a fabulous find. I usually camp in a tent but weather looked awful, so this was a wonderful compromise. The Bow Top caravan has stunning views. It is cosy and well equipped for storage and lighting. Neil popped by each day to make sure everything was ok. The bed was super comfortable. Lots of walks very close and a good guide is in the caravan .Toilets and showers were clean and close by. Loved it and will be back soon.

Tyckte inte om This is not really a dislike, but I wasn't aware this is also a camp site. There were a few families around. All play nicely and no excessive noise. But had I known Iay have gone out of school holidays.
