Tyckte om Stayed here just one night. The owner was friendly & very helpful. The whole site was immaculate. The free toilets & shower were clean & fully functional. Would definitely recommend.

Tyckte om Lovely quiet location , good local walks with a mix of wooded areas and fields . Tawny owl was spotted and along with rabbits

Tyckte inte om Where do I start …. The toilet block was overflowing with human excrement… the showers had cob webs that looked like Halloween decorations… filthy !! Absolutely filthy .
We booked 2 nights and left after one. No phone signal and no one around to speak to about the facilities

Från föreståndaren: Sorry this was your experience here,nobody made me aware of the toilet situation…everyone including you have my contact details and failing that as I live on site there is always my door to knock on…

I found the toilet situation at 10am on Sunday morning…I unblocked them myself and had everything fixed and ready to go by 11:30am…

Wet wipes being flushed down the toilet had blocked the system…I monitor the toilet performance regularly due to this and found a tap left running in the men’s the day before…as you can imagine that would also contribute to fooling the waste tank too…

I cannot predict other people’s actions and neither can you…but I am always nearby and easily approachable with any concerns.

Tyckte om This year I've seen , bats, dragon flys , owls ,deer ,squirrel, rabbits , buzzards plus other s all fromm pitch and then when you go for a walk and look out over the surrounding field theirs more. Just sette down quietly and with and the area comes back to life when your settled

Tyckte om Quiet site with plenty of space and nice for a no fuss stay , playing in nature and walking . Grandkids loved den making with branches that had been cut, we saw bees and rabbits . Pub in walking distance
Very Reasonably priced .

Tyckte inte om All a bit tired and run down especially the play area and toilet block . Play area seriously needs an overhaul , equipment is not safe . The space is there to make this great for the kids .
Shame the tea train isn’t open ( owner did let us know though )

Tyckte om A lovely wild-feeling site in the middle of a private nature reserve. We came for the eclipse and meteor shower and had a lovely view (there was one other van!) There is a beautiful walk around the site with woods, open meadows and a pond area. It was fun to come across little areas like a quiet spot with a table for two and wild rabbits grazing, a summer house and pond, a children’s play area, a communal campfire area and a hidden railway carriage that used to be a tea room. We came with dogs and they loved the walks on site and I wish I’d discovered this when my children were young as it felt safe and there’s so much space to explore. The camping field is a large tree-lined meadow with paths and camping spaces mowed out. They are all nice and level with plenty of shade. This is somewhere I could come regularly to get away from everything and relax in the quiet. Alan’s instructions were clear and it was easy to find. The owner was friendly and present if we needed anything but didn’t hover. There are heated bathrooms with toilet and shower and a fresh water tap for filling up. Most of all excellent value for money! I almost didn’t want to leave a review as I love that it’s quiet and underused!!

Tyckte inte om These are far from dislikes for me but something to be aware of: there is a lot of wildlife onsite so you can hear deer and foxes at night, everything has a slightly run-down feel which, for me, gave it its charm but don’t expect anything pristine. Poor mobile signal (this might be a positive for some) Pitch up also haven’t updated that the tearooms are not open but Alan informed me before arrival.

Tyckte om Lovely pitches, very spacious, nice woodland walks, helpful owners who respond quickly to enquiries. Toilet block is basic but absolutely fine for a short stay and the price is a bargain.

Tyckte om Absolutely stunning location! Wonderful communication from Alan who was so kind and helpful. This place is a little slice of heaven and an absolute bargain.
