Spring Bottom Farm

Tyckte om Peace and quiet, no light pollution so good for star-gazing at the night sky. Proper flushing water single-occupant lockable loo. There’s an outdoor metal kitchen sink outside the loo with a cold water tap for hand-washing and a separate stand pipe and two large picnic tables with benches.
Excellent 4G coverage. Apple trees next to the field and plenty of bird / wildlife - a fox (?) came to investigate our tent & picnic basket in the middle of the night.
We had the whole field to ourselves so it was nice & quiet.

Tyckte inte om Very little shade after midday on a hot sunny day, so either bring your own umbrellas or hug the hedges to get some escape from the heat.

Take a walk to the church and sit in the sun on the bench provided. There's a gate next to the notice board. Through there and turn left. A lovely evening walk in the sun.

Tyckte om Marvellous location. Very quiet and relaxing. Sadly for the owners, I was the only camper on site. Due to the hot weather bookings at down. It will be the same people who do not camp because it's raining, it's cold, it's windy.

They are missing time to recover and reset from daily life. In truth, I don't need an holiday because I have no stress or worry, but understand that others have.

Spring Bottom FM is perfect. The entrance to the field is a silver gate on the left as you drive into the village. You will see the very clean and spacious toilet to the right at the far end of the field.
There is NO SHOWER and this is noted on Pitchup before you book. The toilet is ideal if ladies want to dress or have a wash down.

There is a sink for washing pots. The benches are a nice touch. Don't use them for portable bar-b-ques because they will burn the surface.
The owners can be found through the small gate and down the path to the house. Alternatively a text to details on the inside of the toilet.
Don't expect a reception desk and ushers to your designated spot.

I'm reviewing this site as the only visitor and it's perfectly suitable for me. It's wild ISH camping without the worry of teenagers in cars at 2am or kids throwing stones.

I will certainly be back. I've already added it to my favourites list and wish the owners well with it.

Tyckte om We had a 2 night stay and had the whole field to ourselves. Field secure for the dogs. The toilet was clean and tidy.
Very quiet and peaceful, lovely walks close by.
Owner very friendly and laid back.

Tyckte om Loved the location overlooking beautiful countryside. Lots of walks from the site. The toilet and washing facilities were clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and available for any help. We bought some local honey from the site as an added bonus. Will definitely stay again. .

Tyckte om I had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay at this campsite. It was peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the sunshine. The farmer and his dad were both very friendly, polite, and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

The surrounding area is lovely for walking, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the countryside. The campsite has basic facilities, including a toilet and sink, which were appreciated during my stay.

Overall, I had a fantastic stay and left feeling completely chilled out and refreshed. I would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing campsite.

Tyckte om Such a nice and cosy campsite. Loved that it had a toilet, sink and running water. The honey and eggs for sale were a bonus. Paul and his sons were very nice and helpful with local information.
