Anglers, hikers, pub goers and horse riders… settle serenely down at this site for all of what you seek, in a peaceful position in the Powys countryside. Spring Rock Holidays is set near the Llandegley Rocks, with several public rights of way starting right from it including a spectacular waterfall walk and forest hikes. It has its own pleasure fishery for anglers of all abilities, made up of a 15-foot lake with mirror, common, ghost and koi carp up to 25lbs; river fishing on the Ithon and fly fishing are both available nearby too. Several sports and leisure centres with swimming pools are in in the area too, along with a riding centre and pony trekking, 4x4 drives and kayaking along the Wye. And whatever flavour of break you go for, you'll likely like a stroll to the Severn Arms within walking distance of the site, which serves real ales, pub grub and takeaway (please note there's a short roadside section on the walk to the pub). Spring Rock has a toilet and shower block, a separate washing up area and a chemical disposal point.

Only a limited number of anglers is allowed to fish at any one time. Please use the 'special requests' box to express your interest (unfortunately, requests cannot be guaranteed). Day tickets are only available for the pleasure lake; there is no day ticket access to the specimen carp lake at any time. Anyone wishing to fish the carp specimen lake must have appropriate carp fishing equipment including large 42” landing net, unhooking mat, carp care medikit and rod licence. No alarms allowed. Those without the correct equipment will be refused access. Please be aware that the fishery can close at any time during spawning.

Gostou: Big pitch, peaceful, adults only. View of the lake. Toilets and showers cleanest we have been in. Andy is very helpful and loved the little keyring torch He gave to us all.

Não gostou: Nothing except the weather, but nobody can help with that.

Gostou: Very warm welcome from the owner, the site was immaculately clean facilities were fantastic also very clean well maintained fantastic views, owner, very knowledgeable and approachable. Very quiet as an adult only site. Dog friendly

Não gostou: Not so much dislike but the only thing was the internet, unfortunately the internet was on/off which was the same travelling around Wales.

Gostou: Peaceful and beautiful site. Pitches were large and flat. Shower and toilet block was spotless and had a very powerful shower. Wash up area being indoors was also great.
Relaxing views over lake. Easy drive to Elan Valley.

Gostou: Peace and tranquility. Immaculate grounds and shower blocks. Easy to find, easy access.Stunning views, great base to explore. Very friendly and helpful owner.Pitch size was enormous.Free Wi-Fi greatly appreciated , as we couldn’t get tv reception (could be our older caravan). We ate at the nearby Severn Arms.. dog friendly both inside and out, good pub grub. The nearby petrol station h fully stocked shop.

Gostou: Peaceful, quiet lakeside pitches. Picked it because adult only & dog friendly. Huge gravel pitch with nice little hedge barrier (that would be perfect if it was both sides of pitch to distinguish both pitch boundaries). Spotless, modern toilets and showers. Reasonable pitch prices that include electric. Good Wifi. Very friendly and helpful owner who helped with clear directions to local walks. Lovely walk up the hill from site too and shorter walk around lakes. Birdsong beautiful and loads of wildlife.

Não gostou: Not a dislike but just a suggestion. I didn't use electric hookup and there was no option to book a pitch without. I was fully aware of this on booking and realise this was my choice but I wonder maybe if it would be nice to offer a small discount if you don't use electric? Perhaps that's not practical, just a thought :)

Gostou: Just returned from a lovely stay at this peaceful adults-only campsite in Mid Wales. The setting by the lake was absolutely beautiful and made for such a relaxing break. It was great to find somewhere dog-friendly too – our pups loved it as much as we did! The host was so welcoming and friendly, which really made the stay even more enjoyable. Everything was clean, quiet, and well looked after. We’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a calm getaway, and we’ll absolutely be back again!

Gostou: A wonderfully small site, with great facilities (modern toilets and showers, and washing up area) and large gravelled pitches. The owner is friendly and attentive, and the location is great to get out and about.

From Hereford/Kington, as you come into Llandegley, you will see a large sign on your left for household waste/recycling and the campsite is the next left after that.

After a leisurely time fishing on site, more of the same can be landed at the local pub's section of the Ithon river, via fly fishing at Rhayader or Llyngwyn, or in the Wye from the nearby town of Builth Wells. Other active options easily accessed from here are pony trekking and horse riding, 4x4 experiences, Wye Valley kayaking and hikes around the Elan Valley. Cyclists should also like the hundreds of bikes and loads of cycling bits at the National Cycle Museum in local town Llandrindod Wells. If you're up for events, the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd near Builth Wells hosts events throughout the year including the Royal Welsh Show in July, the Smallholders' Show in May, the Winter Fayre in December, dog and horse shows, and two antique fairs. You could also have a look at the red kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm, or take to the car for day trips: the Brecon Beacons, Aberystwyth and Hay-on-Wye are all within an hour.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
