Do gestor: SORRY TO HEAR YOU LIKED NOTHING. WE HAVE LOTS OF LOVELY REVIEWS. THE SHOWERS AND TOILETS ARE CLEANED REGULARLY, UNFORTUNATELY WITH THE WET WEATHER THE FLOORS DO GET A BIT MUDDY.
YOU COULD HAVE CALLED THE OFFICE TO NOTIFY US AND WE COULD HAVE GOT THIS SORTED.

Gostou We used to love this place but full of full time units with all sorts of clutter and fences everywhere!! Rubbish in the stream such a shame

Não gostou We’ve been coming here for 15 years but now seems to be taken over by full time live in sort of people!! Wife didn’t like it she felt threatened..

Do gestor: I can see your first stay was in May of 2016 with intermittent stays generally over the summer months. Your last stay was earlier this year when we had the same amount of long stay guests as we do have now, approximately 14 out of 268 pitches. Our long stay guests are friendly and keep to themselves with the majority of them working professionals, retirees or young families. I am surprised that your wife felt threatened by them and this was not brought to our attention during your stay.
There are no additional fences apart from the ones that were erected for The Wealden Times Mid-Winter Fayre that was on whilst you stayed here. We are not aware of any clutter unless you mean the odd firepit or camping chair being used by either short or long stay guests. When checking the site we will now look into the streams in case any stray paper has been blown in there.

Gostou Second time visiting great place for a quiet stay, unfortunately the chemical waste was closed off and very smet but otherwise had a great stay

Do gestor: I am sorry you did not enjoy your 2 night stay.
The majority of campsites close at the end of October due to fields becoming too muddy, we have decided to remain open for those who either need to or want to stay, however the grass will be wet and the soil muddy which is something beyond our control.
I hope you still enjoyed your dog walking through the empty fields.

Gostou I loved absolutely everything about this place, the ease of booking, warm and friendly reception and the amount of useful things they hold in stock in the shop (no matter how hard you try and pre plan and pack, you’re always likely to forget something)

The size of the pitch they gave us was fantastic, the ability to have an open fire was brilliant, the toilet block and wash rooms were spotless, everything was just perfect. The adults and kids loved it.

I’ve told plenty of our family and friends about this place and can’t wait to get back there.

Gostou Proximately to Tonbridge. Level pitches. Electric and water available at the pitch.

Não gostou The site is ideal as a stop over or to use if attending a local event is on. I would not use it as a holiday or a relax location as the cost does not justify the environment/facilities. Early morning noise of Marquee construction, wagon being unloaded just prior to 0700 on a Saturday morning then the noise of workmen banging metal work - something that re-occurred on the following morning, albeit an hour later. I understand work has to be done but this was obviously scheduled and we could have been made aware of it at booking. Chemical toilet disposal being locked up and unavailable. Late night site noise including vehicle movements 2200-0100. Site had many obvious contractor/working vans on it and these were regularly left running, possibly charging/warming up.

Do gestor: I am sorry you did not enjoy your 2 night stay arriving later in the evening when already dark. When looking to book on Pitch-up it does say "Throughout the year large events take place and the site is open to the public" and on The Hop Farm website there is a list of events and dates.

We do not have any contractors on site and our long stay guests who go to work usually leave between 6am and 9 am, it must have been another short stay guest having to go out or leave for an early ferry crossing.
At this time of year there are no other campsites in Kent offering electric hardstanding with grass pitches and the general use is for an overnight stay to either enjoy a walk and then a campfire,visiting family/friends locally or on route to/from a ferry port rather than as a holiday destination.

Não gostou This is our 2nd stay at the Hop farm. Unfortunately it will also be our last. Well over half the pitches are now occupied by permanent residents, now I have nothing against permanent residents, but on the whole these residents go out to work each morning returning sometime that evening, and with so many the usual friendly dynamic of a campsite was gone. The washrooms, which were supposed to have access by code, were simply open, so they were being used by workers from around the farm, and potentially also locals walking through the farm. We've visited many campsites, but the state of hygiene in the facilities in the mornings was a disgrace. This alone was sufficient to ensure we will never return.

Do gestor: I am sorry you did not enjoy your second stay with us.
When you stayed in May the long stay guests were on a different field, however in November due to pitch conditions we only have the 1 electric field open. If there had not been any long stay guests there would have only been 2 other pitches occupied and with it getting dark early the dynamics would not have been the same as our summer months..
The wash rooms do have a working code, however if the doors are not closed properly the general public will use them, they did have 2 daily cleans and the workers setting up for The Wealden Christmas Fayre had other facilities to use.

Gostou Plenty of space with a great walk along the river to East Peckham and back via the Man of Kent. Accommodating staff let us move from our waterlogged pitch. Water piped to the pitch was an added extra.

Não gostou Gents toilets were a bit of a war zone. Considering the low occupancy level, no effort was made to clean/fix two (out of three) of the toilets. Had thought the attendance of the cleaner would improve things, but unfortunately no!

Gostou Very peaceful and relaxing with beautiful surroundings and plenty of fields to walk your dogs round
