Gostou Quiet site, clean toilets and never had to wait (may be different if busier)

Gostou We only booked the site the morning of arrival, to test our new campervan. We didn't travel far but found this site. It was perfect, we took our 2 year old and 2 dogs, there's no play park or anything, but the field is large enough for children to play either round your pitch or in the middle of all pitches.. The site was easy to find, nice and quiet even though there was plenty of people camping. The toilet block was a short walk for everyone. We didn't use the shower block as we was only there for the one night to test the van and left by 10am to go home. We drove past a pub on the way to the site, so walked there after we set up which took around 10 minutes (probably quicker if you don't have a toddler). We will definitely return for a longer duration next time.

Não gostou There was only 2 toilets so queued nearly every time, which is fine for myself, but with a 2 year old who's only recently potty trained bit of a pain, but still was not a massive issue and not a complaint, just FYI.

Sorry you had to queue to use the toilets, there are 3 toilets, the 3rd is a disabled room that has a sign saying "Please Give Priority to Disabled and Parents with young Children" It was our busiest weekend of the year we are aware that sometimes a group or a family all arrive together, we clean regularly throughout the day and sometimes have to wait to clean a cubicle, but seldom have to wait for more than a minute or two. Our toilet/shower ratio is at the busiest times 1:30 which is far more than the recommended ratio of 1:60 by most camping organisations.
Unfortunately we were not at the campsite when you arrived, normally we explain everything to new arrivals in person.

Gostou We had a fantastic nights stay at palace farm in one of the bell tents. Gorgeous scenery and fantastic facilities (the little swallow nesting in the washroom thinks so too!) Lots of connected walking trails around the farm, rural and peaceful!

Não gostou Email said to check in between 1-8pm. Arrived (albeit 20 mins early, with apologies) at 12.40, was turned away and told tent hadn’t been cleaned yet; to come back after 2pm. Not a problem, gave us a couple of hours to enjoy the nearby pubs & beaches which the children thoroughly enjoyed! Maybe just a quick update of the automated emails that go out would be appreciated!

Gostou Quite site, plenty of space, thoughtful set up in regards to safety. Basic but clean showers & toilets. Lovely hosts.

Não gostou Nothing really, but I’d worry about the small toilet/shower block if the site was very busy.

Do gestor: Thank you for your lovely review, we don't pretend to be anything other than a traditional camp site. Regarding the toilets and showers, on a typical busy weekend we get up to 90 campers including children and babies, we have 3 toilets and 3 showers which is a ratio of one to 30 campers. The generally accepted ration is one to 60 campers. We know that on a busy weekend it can be that everyone will want to use the toilet or shower at the same time of day, generally we don't see many problems.

Gostou The whole campsite was very kept and clean, the facilities were just right and did the job perfectly. The host/owner was very welcoming and very happy help when called upon. The local area was not too far if you would like to do some shopping. There were some excellent walking routes for dogs and cycling.

Não gostou Another toiletbamd cleaning facility would have been great but a deal breaker.

Gostou Clean facilities, spacious flat site, great as a base to explore the area.
Very helpful owners.

Não gostou Charging phone was tricky without a power pack to leave to charge in a separate building... felt a bit insecure with this.

Do gestor: Hello, thank you for your great review, we much appreciate it. We do have charging facilities in our house/office where we can securely charge your phone, our power socket has USB outlets.
