Gostou Great check-in experience. Helpful. Good location. Quiet at night.
Did plan to eat and drink, but didn't work out this time.
Some nice trails to walk the dogs on.
Facilities more than adequate for me.

Gostou The weather was great and that was about it.

Não gostou We were told that BBQs and fires were not allowed, which was a huge disappointment and honestly ruined the stay from the start. Most of the food we'd brought was intended for the BBQ, so we ended up taking a lot of uncooked food home.

The campsite had allocated a communal area where fires were permitted, but that meant leaving our pitch every time we wanted to cook or sit around a fire, which completely defeated the purpose of camping for us.

If BBQs and fires are not allowed on pitches, please remove these from the campsite's listed features. It doesn't matter if it's because of a heatwave or temporary restrictions—the listing should clearly state that no BBQs or fires are allowed. Had this been made clear before booking, we would have chosen a different campsite.

Unfortunately, the campers on the pitch next to us—a young couple in their twenties—didn't seem to care about the BBQ/fire restrictions. They were also very loud, and one of them was constantly swearing. As I was camping with my 8-year-old daughter, this wasn't a pleasant environment.

The washing-up area was another disappointment. When I went there in the morning, one of the sinks was blocked and half-filled with food waste. It was unhygienic and unpleasant to use, so I simply rinsed our dishes and washed them properly when I got home.

Overall, our experience was very poor, and sadly we won't be returning to this campsite.

Gostou It was quite clean and a massive land. The camping will not packed up with hundreds of campers.

Não gostou The hot water in the shower turned cold after 15 seconds of using it.

Gostou The location of Hever camping was very good for the activities we wanted to do in the area. We were able to do a fabulous walk to Hever castle from the campsite.
The site had toilets, dish washing facilities and warm showers available. The shower pressure was great and always warm which was nice after a night in the tent.
Had some interesting machinery in the site, including a jet engine.
Nice and dark at night so had a good view of the stars.

Não gostou There was a bit more road noise than we expected, I'm sure it would have been a bit quieter if we were camped on the other side of the field (was full when we arrived).

We didn't get any information ahead of time about just being able to pick a spot on arrival or where things were and nobody was there to meet us despite messaging as requested, again not a major issue as we worked it out in the end.
None of these things were of major detriment to the site overall.

Gostou It’s always a great place to visit. Food is great on site. Showers are fantastic. Toilets need updating but they are clean

Não gostou The group of Middle Aged males next to us kept exposing themselves to urinate in the tree line with a child in our party playing in the same area less than 20 feet away

Gostou Lovely peaceful field with lots of space and walks and exploring. Toilet block cleaned daily and area for washing up.

Gostou Loved this campsite, great toilet and shower facilities that are constantly cleaned. Very friendly staff.
