Setthorns Campsite

Gostou: peace and chill ! only owls at night..... a good pub in Sway, and plenty of varied walks Brockenhurst is easily achievable on foot or with bikes.

Gostou: First time at setthorns and what a beautiful site it is. My children enjoyed the long disused railway to ride their bikes. We originally had no elh but got there and asked if we could they were very helpful and said of course so we got electric. Clean site with plenty of water and motorhome points. Definitely coming again in the sun next time.

Gostou: Very friendly welcome. Informative greeting and gravel on pitches so didn't get bogged down. Pretty level pitches.

Gostou: Setting of the campsite is beautiful. It is truly wild and a lot of walks around

Não gostou: We travelled with children (12/13). On the arrival we were told that "they are not allowed move wood from the ground and build dens or swings "...which was disappointing for them as we were in the middle of the forest and it is what children do. Also as we are travelling with tiny caravan lack of dish washing facility or wc was an issue. Site is not designed for families but more for couples who has caravans/ motorhomes big enough so they can spent all time inside . It is shame as side is automatically discqalifiay smaller caravans and tents.

Gostou: The friendliness of the staff when we arrived and throughout our stay . The beauty and peaceful of being in the middle of the New Forest

Gostou: The setting, nice and quiet and surrounded by trees. Good proximity to sway. Nice friendly staff. One of our favourites in the new forest.

Não gostou: The introduction of charging for friends visiting for a couple of hours £5 per car or park across the road about quarter of a mile away! Especially when there are no public facilities, how can this be justified? Also putting up charge from £2 to £5 for staying on for a couple extra hours if your pitch isnt booked. Nobody likes to feel ripped off when charges have gone up overall anyway!

Gostou: Lovely setting under chestnut trees quite and peaceful despite a lot of the pitches in use. Lots of great walks in the area.

Gostou: Beautiful surroundings, staff very helpful, really clean, site well managed . Will definitely come again 👍

Gostou: Nothing much except it was quiet.

Não gostou: The mud, leaves, pine needles and dirt that you constantly have to clean from your van, both inside and out. The cost was far and above what we have paid for other sites that are far better than this.
