Não gostou Showers were not so nice. Despite the rules for quiet nights and efforts to control large parties, we were kept awake until 2am by a large group being loud, playing music, etc.

Gostou The scenery was lovely and it feels like you're lost in the middle of nowhere.
Pitches where in excellent condition, showers, washing area for pots etc was very good too. Not too busy or loud, excellent for families, my kids enjoyed playing with the other kids there.

Não gostou Quite tricky to find but once you are there its easy to navigate around. Also sat nav sent me down lanes big enough for one car and a tractor nearly took out our car, but did encounter this various places in the lake district.
You can hear the traffic from the m6 in the distance at night. Not an big issue or too loud but a distant noise of traffic which takes away from the feeling of being away from it all.

Gostou great camp site up a small hill, great views , activity centre next door, quad biking in the forest, air riffle shooting, lovely instructors,great stop off or longer, We really enjoyed this campsite 😊

Gostou Views amazing clean and quiet

Não gostou Bins were overflowing on site but it was weekend so no doubt due to be emptied. Nothing major we took ours with us.

Gostou We are a family of 6 touring the UK for the six weeks holiday to give our 4 children the best holiday at the same price as a week in Spain. We had travelled around 3hrs when we arrived a touch early. This was no problem for the owner and she said to pick any pitch from #7 onwards and just to excuse the fact she'd not quite finished cleaning the facilities. We found some pitches were on an incline. But those did have the best views. However, one of our children is in a wheelchair so we opted for a flat pitch in the middle row. #21. Gazebos and dogs were allowed which were a bonus. The tent pitched up easily with the bins and running water close by. There were hardly any visitors on site at the time we went which meant there were plenty of places to play for the children. We met the farm owner who granted us permission to run our dogs off lead in his empty fields which was a fantastic addition to an already great site. Alice, in the wheelchair was easily able to mobilise herself into the first toilet cubicle with help, we did need to leave her wheelchair outside but she can walk a short distance so for us this was no problem. The showers however, were not suitable. We were aware of this before we booked as the site was very honest regarding their facilities, we were just up for the challenge. Speaking of challenge the hill up to the toilets was interesting each time, but we were determined to make it all work, and it did :) The site was beautiful and peaceful at the top of a hill with spectacular sunset views. The sat nav kept trying to take us to Holmescales Farm which isn't quite there, look for the activity centre instead and you cant miss it. Nothing to grumble about here, clean, tidy, friendly and accommodating. Campsite 1 of 16 this holiday done and the children all said they would definitely come back

Gostou Clean and tidy good showers lovely views plenty of space. Went cosy pigeon shooting and Ellie was great x

Gostou Beautiful views, very easy check in, you just choose your own pitch and let them know. Very peaceful quiet site with lots of space for kids to play! Toilets, showers, washing up area and optional activities nearby. Great base for the lakes!
