Gostou Loved the onsite pizza van and views

Gostou The location was perfect. We chose somewhere close to home as testing out new equipment. Pub with great food on the doorstep. The freedom to pitch where we wanted on the camping field. Clean toilets, well stocked with loo paper. Showers which had good pressure and no tiresome push button. £1 for 5 mins, which was plenty of time.

Não gostou Not really an issue as we were prepared having read the reviews but no hot water available at the pot wash. Had to boil own water on pitch to wash pots.

Gostou Everyone was respectful and adhered to the 22:00 no noise.
Hiring the fire pit was really useful.
It was nice to pick our own spot and it didn't feel like everyone was on top of each other.
We picked a good weekend to stay with the weather.

Não gostou My only dislike was we had decided to have Pizza from the onsite pizza place on Saturday night but they ran out of dough at 19:00.

Gostou The view, location, super friendly staff and a great pizza van. Stayed here for three nights.

Gostou Large open area and no set pitches

Gostou Scenery was lovely.

Não gostou We counted 200 plus people for 4 toilets,
As a result of this the toilets were not clean,
shower ratio to people was not enough,
A food van was 2 meters next to toilets.

Gostou Spacious site, lots of areas to choose from. Great location, lovely walk round the reservoir too, dog friendly. Pizza van on site

Não gostou Not the sites fault, large group next to us with loud music all day and the same song at least 15 times over.

Gostou Freedom to choose where you want to pitch. Renting of firepit was easy and everyone we spoke to was friendly

Não gostou Could’ve done with some more showers and toilets - although we did stay on a Saturday night and the site was very busy in particular!

I just wanted to add there was security on this weekend, we usually do it ourselves but we hired a company in, he was definitely here because we saw him ourselves both nights. Also my number is on the confirmation booking. It's on the large sign at the entrance and also Google. I'm always available, we live on site so if there ever was an emergency I'm very contactable.

Great location with stunning views and sunsets
Good pubs within easy walking distance
Great walks nearby - easy access to Hen Cloud and The Roaches, we will be back to walk to Luds Church
Pizza van offers really good food
Toilets and showers are few and basic but this is reflected in the pitch price - although a busy weekend there were never long queues and always well stocked with soap and loo roll. Showers were adequate for £1.
Fellow campers respected the 10 pm noise curfew even on a busy June weekend in a heatwave.

Não gostou Although the food that the pizza van serves is great, its location is far from good. It cannot be considered hygienic to have it so close to toilets which only have a single door - there is a reason why food hygiene regulations stipulate that toilets must not open directly onto food preperation areas! It is not nice ordering and waiting for food immediately outside toilets, and it can't be nice for the food vendor to have to work in this area.
I know that the food van needs to be near a water supply but you do have another washing up sink nearer to the entrance - perhaps you could consider creating an area there with some hardstanding? I am sure that a more attractive and visible pitch would be beneficial to all parties.
