Gostou The hut was cosey and actually had facilities that were better than expected. The fridge was bigger than expected, also didn't expect to have a plug in stove which was a nice surprise. The beds were good sizes. The lighting was good, could perhaps have done with a lamp so we could have something less bright once the kids were asleep but it was fine.

Não gostou The toilets were filthy. They were marked as checked and cleaned but were covered in dirty water for the last 2 days of our stay. The rain does make it hard so if it'd had been 1 day I'd understand, but there was clearly no effort to clean. Also, there was only 2 cubicles in each toilet, which meant you often had to wait stood in the dirty water with children whilst waiting for a cubicle.
Also there were several loud parties going on late until 10pm when we were trying to get a 1 and a 4 year old to sleep. Again, I appreciate this wasn't the fault or the site, but there was no form of security to deal with the issue, and it was 3 or 4 different groups with music playing loudly into the night.
The WiFi didn't work, wasn't a huge problem as we had sufficient data.

Gostou Level pitches, good facilities, beautiful surroundings

Não gostou The geese poo which was EVERYWHERE!!
All over the grass on our pitch and the entire site!
We spoke to reception but we were made to feel as if it was just part of the site.
Unfortunately there was so much geese poo it was difficult to step around our pitch without stepping on any :-(

All your comments on how you felt following mentioning the geese issue have been shared with the site managers to look in to.

Gostou Nothing to like...

Não gostou Booked in for 3 night's on the day of arrival i called the Campsite to make a enquiry if it was ok to bring my Cat's as they are on holiday with me.
I was told that they were a " not cat friendly site "
I mentioned that there was No mention of this in the terms and conditions online. I said it would be impossible for me to continue with with my booking.
I asked for a Refund and i expected to pay a nominal amount out of my booking due to cancellation.
One message was sent to me saying that they were able to Refund me.
Next day i recieved a message saying I wouldn't be receiving a Refund as in the terms and conditions mention No Cat's??
Well i had read them thoroughly and there was No mention of No Cat's.
Ridiculous.

Gostou "We spent 3 wonderful days here. It’s a fantastic place to recharge. The whole area is tidy and nicely maintained.
Our cabin was sparkling clean and ready when we arrived.
Absolutely no complaints! We and our furry friend loved every minute of our stay. We’ll definitely be back!"

Gostou Lovely little hut with a microwave, kettle and fridge. The loos are really close and the showers around reception were great.

Gostou Plentiful toilets and showers. Well-maintained grounds and amenities. Convenient location (cheap train to London from Broxbourne, good road links to M11, M25 etc). Surprisingly rural feel to the site, despite its location just on the edge of town. Friendly staff.

Não gostou Entirely beyond the site’s control, some clientele were a bit loud and boisterous, particularly in communal areas - though even they did tend to tone it down after about 10pm. The goose droppings referred to elsewhere were noticeable but not particularly problematic.

Gostou The staff were absolutely FANTASTIC .! From arrival ,where all our camp gear was taken to our pitch by buggy , and back to reception when we were leaving by a super bloke ,whom then rang up a taxi for us.We forget his name ,but he was great,then to find out the taxi driver would only be 10mins.,as he lived on site ,he was so nice too.Gary Brown .The pitch was very well placed for us,near to the loos and washing up.We had a great stay and would like to thank everyone.

Não gostou We know there was a pre-warning about the geese , but we weren't quite prepared for all the guano,haha. The only other thing is my partner who used the lower end toilets (nearest the main gate ) , the ladies hot tap in the ladies were rarely working.Either ,when the hot tap was pressed it wouldn't move and no water,or,when pressed a trickle then nothing.Can't fault anything else.
