Lee Valley Caravan Park Dobbs Weir: Leisure

General

  • Surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex countryside
  • Half an hour by train from London

Or how about settling down within easy reach of it at less than city prices – leaving you free to spend your dosh on train fares into town and quite a lot of London beer? Have a look at Lee Valley Caravan Park Dobbs Weir, only 30 minutes from the glittery lights of the capital.

A nifty base for city trips or Lee Valley sojourns, Dobbs Weir is surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex green countryside, and carefully landscaped to fit in with its natural surroundings (excellent countryside views come as standard). Really well looked after site, playground was nice and well maintained. The views on the river were really nice. If you suffer from Mosquitoes do bring some repellent. Not excessive and not a negative of the size but just a real life scenario being next to the river.

The walk along the river canal was beautiful and the kids loved to help the lock keepers open the locks to let the canal boats through.

  • Liked:

The staff was super helpful, we didn’t have an extension lead long enough for our original pitch, so we tried until we found the best spot for us.

We didn’t explore too much, but it felt like we were in the middle of no where. Nice and quiet. The toilets were clean, the showers were hot and perfect.

This was our first camping trip with our children (5 and 1) and it was ideal. Thank you!

Noise until 2am from stag party in lodge next to our tent. They were just having fun, but should not have been given accommodation right next to a field of families in tents.
