The dual carriageway is on one side of the campsite and noise from traffic can be heard at night when the campsite is quiet.
We do ask guests not to drive after 10pm however it is difficult to enforce this rule without locking everyone in.
We come out at 10pm to lock the exit gates checking it is quiet on site. A t 1115pm whilst still out we heard very loud music coming from East Peckham, however as it was not on the campsite we were unable to do anything about it.
Perhaps you will visit again outside August Bank Holiday as the campsite is so lovely when less crowded.

As it was August Bank Holiday we did have up to 3 pitches of family/friends together, we asked them to turn off music and to be respectful when we did our 10pm site checks, unfortunately as the electric pitches are so close together general talking and laughter can be heard. There was a loud music event taking place in East Peckham on the Saturday until 130am which must have been unlicenced and could be heard on a few fields including the one you were on, however this was beyond our control.
We do provide toilets and showers within the stipulations set out by the campsite regulations, we had them cleaned continuously from 7am until 7pm on the Saturday and Sunday, with a notice in reception and verbally telling people when they checked in that between 7pm and 7am there would be no cleaning and to clean up after themselves. A couple of locks were broken and either repaired or replaced as soon as we were made aware of.
