A Cornwall country pile with its own swimming pool and bar – swish enough for your family break? Then you’ll settle in well at the smart surrounds of Southleigh Manor Holiday Park, a spacious and well-maintained site in the grounds of a handsome 19th-century manor house. Fittingly for such a fancy setting, there’s a fine pile of facilities at this family-run site: around the well-kept gardens are a swimming pool and kids’ pool (with sun loungers for those supervising the smaller splashers), a large barbecue area and a play area on the edge of the woods. For times when the weather’s not so fine, scuttle indoors to the games room or the bar (which is generously stocked with local Cornish drinks to sip). And if the surrounds are pretty fine, so is the location, central within Cornwall just a two-minute drive from the A39. St Columb Major, less than a mile away, is your nearest spot for pubs, takeaways and supermarket stocking up. Beyond all of that, many of Cornwall’s top attractions are within easy reach – Fistral beach, the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Padstow and the South West Coast Path are all within a 20-minute drive.

Gostou The site was quiet, small but not too small, a nice family friendly atmosphere, the swimming pool, the green space, friendly and helpful staff. Great location right between Newquay and St Austell.

Gostou Lovely small site, only communicated with staff via email due to late arrival. Pool was closed which we knew as travelled late in season, didn't visit the pub/bar (was not aware if this was open). Park area for children was a good size and looked in good condition.

Não gostou Shower & Toilet block. This was not cleaned In time I was there (Friday to Monday). Two toilets had no toilet paper during the whole visit. Layer of dust on top of hand dryer. Bucket and mop in ladies had dirty water left in it. It was a shame as this let the site down.

Gostou Has everything you need for a camping trip, including an outside heated pool!
Staff were really friendly and accommodating.
Plenty of space on the pitch for an 8 man tent and an SUV.
Fellow campers were really friendly too!

Não gostou The site is small, basically 1 field. Which is fine until they host a reggae night and the music is loud enough to be heard 3 fields away. Not ideal for toddlers/babies.
Toilet & shower block are also small, only 2 cubicles in the mens.

Gostou Very welcoming site, the Staff could not do enough for their guests and was always on hand.
The site is not huge but that suited us. Close to all major roads.

Não gostou Sometimes felt every one was on top of each other.

Gostou I was a nice quite place but had to leave three days early due to my dog being ill wasn't offered any refund also the pool wasn't heated and the no on site entertainment like said wasn't a lot to offer at the site to be honest so wouldn't go here again

Gostou Friendly and accommodating staff. They were very super helpful when we didn't realise we need a specific electric adapter for camping.

Showers were powerful & hot
Well set up camping site which had most things you need.

Would happily return for a short stay/Boardmasters.

Não gostou Unfortunately the cleanliness & general maintenance let the site down but with a bit more attention it would be a great all-rounder.

The ladies were often in need of more toliet roll and often at times when the office wasn't open to request more. This could easily be solutioned by providing a shelf above the toliet with extra loo roll.

The toliets & showers do need more regular cleaning. You can't help it if someone has left the toliet in a state, but they do need more attention.
The sanitary bins were overflowing.
The mop & bucket provided was dirty and brown water sat in the bucket for the whole of the our stay
It's a shame because we're are with our stay apart for this.

Do gerente: Hello thank you for your review we do check the toilets on a regular basis and the reception is open from 9 but some times it is open from 7;30 it doesn't close until 10:30 some times later.
Some one does check the toilets rolls before shutting up.
We have tried leaving toilet rolls in there but just ended up disappearing.
Unfortunately we can't get no one checking on the toilets during the night.

Atrações locais

They’re mighty proud of their coastline, the people of Cornwall, and with good reason – it’s got so many stunning spots along its length. Mawgan Porth beach (15 minutes’ drive) is the closest stretch of sand, but it’s also worth planning trips to the spectacular sand dunes at Perranporth (25 minutes) and hitting the waves (with expert instruction from one of the local surf schools if required) at Newquay’s Fistral beach (20 minutes). Newquay itself’s worth a bit of your time too – the Blue Reef aquarium and Newquay Zoo are both popular picks for days out, and there’s a golf course with cracking sea views for those who don’t mind a bit of distraction. A little further north are the foodie haven of Padstow (20 minutes) and the little fishing village of Port Isaac (half an hour). Kids who’ve been well behaved might possibly earn themselves an outing to one of the family-friendly attractions nearby: Screech Owl Sanctuary (five minutes), Camel Creek Adventure Park (10 minutes) or Old MacDonald's Farm (15 minutes). Trips to the eco domes of the Eden Project will take about 20 minutes by car.
