Gostou: Bus stop outside the campsite (but be warned, the last bus is around 6pm from Looe and Taxi is expensive).
Clean shower blocks and very polite grounds keepers who always spoke to us in the morning.
The holiday home side is spotless with well kept gardens. Touring pitches very flat. Nice pub 10 minutes walk away but be mindful of the speed cars come down the road. We were given alternate directions using the back single track roads but these aren't much safer when faced with a speeding Asda delivery van.
Lovely, helpful staff in reception that recommend walks into both Looe and Polperro.

Não gostou: Shower blocks were cold, no heat from radiators or underfloor heating - considering it was only 15 degrees outside in July, I would have expected the heating to have been on. Especially as the site is marketed as 5 star luxury pitches. Bus service not as frequent as we thought and stops around 6pm
Continuous building work going on from 7.45am every morning. Diggers and flatbed trucks delivering building materials to the workshop behind reception woke us each day. We had a couple of days of bad weather and couldn't sit in our awning to read or relax because of the noise from angle grinders and power tools coming from the building work directly Infront of our pitch.
Most of the touring pitches have been taken over by seasonal caravans which were mostly empty. Hardly any other holiday makers on the touring side made the campsite feel very depressing and lacking any atmosphere. Lots of the statics were empty or for sale. The site seems very much like an unfinished work in progress.
As the owners obviously knew this work was taking place and has been since June as commented on by a previous review, it would have been nice to have been notified of the noise and given the option to cancel or rearrange our booking.

Gostou: Quiet site with good sized EHU pitch, clean amenities, well located for visiting Looe, Polperro etc, site lighting not the best, you need a torch.

Não gostou: Bins only by reception, none around the site, no lighting around touring pitches.

Gostou: We loved everything about the park- it has had a lot of improvements made since the last time we came. Everything was beautifully landscaped, nice flat spacious pitches and the facilities were kept immaculate. The park is dog friendly which we liked. There is a bus stop right outside that gets you into Looe & Polperro very easily, which is handy if you have a motorhome! There are also lots of scenic walks you can do directly from the park, and you can pick up printed directions at reception if you need them. Staff were super helpful and friendly. It is a quiet park, which is just what we wanted. We will definitely be back again later this year if we can!

Gostou: Clean shower block
Touring base , we spent as little time onsite as possible.

Não gostou: Mix of static caravans and touring campers .
Flat uninspiring site
Felt like a retirement village
We didn’t mind the works on static caravan opposite as work has to be completed at sometime. Work did not start before 8 and workman very peaceful but it would have been nice for someone to say we apologise for works and would you like to move elsewhere on site.

Thank you for your review of our park. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the flat aspect of the park- a lot of our customers tend to prefer this for accessibility and easier to pitch up on, which generates a lot of positive feedback, but I can appreciate it may not be everyone's preference.

We find that our holiday guests choose Trelay because they are looking for a peaceful park. As we are so lucky to be in a location where many beaches and local towns are easily accessible to us, we are here to faciltitate the ideal base for you to explore all that we have locally whilst providing a good service and spotless facilties for our guests. Those that are looking for more than this may find our site a little too quiet for their liking.

I would like to apologise for the landscaping works being completed at the time of your visit, as you are right, there is never an ideal time! We do try to minimise any disruption as best we can, so I am pleased to hear that our contractors were respectful in how they carried out this work. Unfortunately where we only have 9 touring holiday pitches on the park it is difficult to move anyone around, especially at this time of year. I would always encourage our guests to pop in and see me during their stay if they experience any issues whilst staying with us, and I will always try to facilitate any requests.

As a small, family run business we appreciate all feedback so we can continue to improve the park for our future guests. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back to the park in the future should you be visiting the area again.

Gostou: Everything is perfectly presented. The layout of the site, large pitches and well marked out too. Excellent shower block and lovely surroundings with a pub only 10 minutes walk away. What's not to like!

Gostou: Immaculately kept, staff very friendly and helpful, close to Looe and Polperro with bus links, pub just down the road.
