Beacon Fell View

Gostou Pod was well constructed, windproof and warm. The heating worked well and the bathroom was good.

Fast food hut was a hit and made life easy as we were only there for one night so didn't want to take loads of cooking stuff.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pool was clean and shallow enough for older children to play independently with adults sat out. Though it does cost extra which isn't reasonable given the cost of the accommodation.

Não gostou The beds were just rubbish - very small doubles with poor mattresses meant that even the slimmest in our party struggled to share.

Plus they were too small for the space they were in and this just made them more difficult with kids falling down the sides - be so much better if a larger bed was just slotted in there.

The 'double sofa beds' - even 2 small children would struggle to sleep on the cheap click clack sofa we had. And there was a solid ridge down the middle.

Our friends had a futon - very low to use as a sofa, and a real struggle to actually fold out and obviously on the actual floor.

There are no useful hooks anywhere, even the bathroom - if you have wet coats etc there is literally nowhere to hang them.

Our pod had a huge step down which was worrying with small kids. Would be no use for anyone with mobility or joint problems. Also, the steps into the facilities were similar, at least twice the depth they should be.

Both pods had issues with the doors either dropping and needing to be fitted back into the doorframe or the internal locking mechanism falling off.

Curtain rails were bent and insecurely attached which was unsightly and worrying.

The children's arcade was filled with majority of 'grabbing' games at £1/go which is very expensive.

Playground was padlocked closed.

Crazy golf area was falling apart.

We didn't report issues or complain as we were only there for one night and we wanted to have fun - not have to wait around for things that were obviously faulty to be fixed. Especially as check in is so late and check out so early.

Gostou Zoe on reception. Really friendly and helpful when we had to change our booking.
The walk into Longridge was nice and worthwhile.

Não gostou This campsite reminded me of the saying, all bells no whistles. Very expensive and not worth the money. Pitches are very close to each other. They are unkept and full of weeds. Bathrooms had no soap and very dated. The children's play area was closed, probably due to the construction work below.

Não gostou The bed in our pod sadly was not big enough for two people.
We also couldn’t get any change anywhere on the complex for the kids to use in the arcade. Change machine out of order and the bar didn’t accept cash. Had to cut our night in the bar short as the kids ended up bored.

Gostou Clubhouse food not bad views all of the static side

Não gostou Small touring pitch you will need a motor mover watch out for dog muck toilet not bad when they are clean but don't stay clean for long then they are disgusting. No view on the touring side .would not go back there touring static side very nice great view nice club just touring side and toilets letting it down for me

Gostou What wasn’t there to like, it was amazing welcome at reception when arriving.
The pitch was clean
Toilets was clean
Showers where hot
Pub on site was fab

The kids had such amazing weekend will defo come again

Gostou . The pod was a lovely size and we had our own shower and toilet which was nice.
. Bed was comfy and sofa bed too.
(Pillow's were a bit uncomfy but that's probably down to personal preference)
. Only stayed for one night but we went into the bar and got a drink and they were decently priced.
. The lady at the food hut outside the bar was lovely and the hot dog and hot chocolate were nice.
. We took our own cooking stuff as it stated this on the email. I think a kettle and maybe a little tea/coffee selection would be a nice added touch.

We enjoyed our night and will be back next year for longer.

Não gostou . We arrived around 6pm and checked in at the bar. When we got to our pod we unlocked the door and the lock on the inside fell off. Tried to contact them through the phone number and pressed 2 for assistants but no answer. Luckily we did manage to fix the lock and were able to lock the door for night time.
. Music was playing loud where the pitches are until around midnight.

Não gostou No park for kids not open, charging £6 each to use swimming pool ,Toilets need more checks loads of water on floor ,no soap in despensers ,toilet roll etc

Gostou Location is good.
Facilities are good
Onside pub is good

Não gostou Caravan pitch allocation wasn't good, hard to determine which was our pitch due to it not being clearly marked, this caused problems with neighbours.
Hard to get in to pitch due to narrow leading road.
There was a party group blasting music till early hours in the morning, many were complaining!
