You might fall over when you clap an eye on Beacon Fell View, a family-friendly park in 30 acres of landscaped parkland with rather spectacular views over the Ribble Valley. Slap bang in the middle of Lancashire, the park is conveniently placed for day trips to Blackpool but within easy reach of the Forest of Bowland, the Pennines, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales; golf, fishing and walks are all available close by too. Firmly family-friendly, Beacon Fell View has many little touches to jazz up your break: purchase a pass at the poolside to access the indoor heated pool and paddling pool. During the high season, there is entertainment every night, as well as children's activities from 10am to 1pm every day. (In the low season, the children's activities run on weekends from 12pm to 2pm instead.) Adults can use their kids-free time to watch Sky Sports or down a drink in the adults-only lounge bar. (A family bar is available on site too.) Amenities include hot showers, a covered dishwashing area and a launderette, and kids can additionally live large at the indoor and outdoor play areas, crazy golf and arcade with amusements and a pool table. Pitchwise, all is level, grassy and within five minutes’ walk of reception; guests have access to water points and can park their car by their pitch. For supplies, nearby Longridge has a well-stocked farmers’ market, a couple of supermarkets, two decent pubs serving good food and – quids in again for the kids – an outdoor adventure centre with everything from water orbs to fencing.

Gostou Nothing really

Não gostou Poor toilet cleanliness/no soap in all holders over 2days was there. Fields around no good for dogs full of scotch thistles. Park was closed and condemned I was told on arrival not before.
There was also travelling community on there who I’m lead to believe stole a caravan and created a lot of mess/ trouble

Gostou Lovely little cosy cabins with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children, and beautiful views. 🌿🏡 We really enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was that there wasn’t a kettle provided, a must-have for us! ☕😂 Other than that, highly recommended and we’d definitely stay again.

Não gostou The whole camp. Toilets were absolutely disgusting, the children's playground the same, Kids running around at 12.30 at night shouting and screaming . The pitches were rubbish. The bin area disgusting, you couldn't reach the bins to put rubbish in them because there was that much rubbish on the floor in front of them.

Gostou We had a good time, pod was okay. Arcades and bar all fine.

Não gostou No play area as it was closed for safety issues kids were gutted, pool only luke warm and toilets wasn't great not very clean.

Gostou The weather was great and we were fortunate to be on the correct side of the touring pitches.

Não gostou There were 2 large parties on the other two rows, were touring is located that caused complete haverk and intimidated other guests. It was far too big for the site to manage. These parties were disrespectuful to the amenaties and facilties, in fact wild animals are cleaner.. I can't believe this day and age people behave in this way. They selfish and spoil it for others.

Não gostou Poor staffing, no security on site.
Lots of trouble, shouting, arguing and fighting from other people who were staying on the touring site.
The toilets and outdoor sinks for touring campers were an absolute disgrace, don’t think they had any staff checking and ensuring other campers safety.
We were told that if the owners had been on site it would have been dealt with, and the culprit would have made to leave, however this wasn’t any good for us and other tourers because no one was available to sort all the issues out.
On the Saturday night the police were eventually called.

It is sad that i had to write this review, but I believe that if people don’t make the owners aware the same issues will keep happening.
If the culprit are dealt with and are banned from the site, I would visit again as its location, views and facilities are very good.

Gostou Avoid! Checked out within hours of arrival. This company hasn’t even cared to answer a formal complaint after my grandchild was splashed by petrol from a Jerry Can some feral kids had found left out on the run down site and was throwing it around. Staff was alerted and did absolutely nothing. Reported to Fire Brigade, HSE AND NCC. Do not spend hard earned money to go to this horrible place.

Não gostou Someone stole our electric cable, the site provided no follow up investigation and didn't have another cable to lend us, it was untidy, dirty, rats near the bins which were over flowing... absolutely shocking site... avoid

Gostou The campsite was brilliant. Lovely pool, gorgeous little cafe & shop with lovely owners. Fun arcade & nighttime entertainment. Toilet block was clean, no issues atall. Pod was lovely to stay in.

Não gostou Nothing for me although my friend said the sofa bed was quite hard to sleep on. Could be remedied by putting something in top for a better night's sleep

Beacon Hill Country Park and the Forest of Bowland are mere minutes away by car and both have miles of walking routes across a range of landscapes including woodland, hills and farmland. Climb to the top of Beacon Hill to see landmarks in all directions including Belvoir Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and the hills of the Peak District. Said to be the inspiration for Tolkien’s Middle Earth (which might make you want to furry foot it there immediately), the Ribble Valley has the 70-mile path the Ribble Way, shopping in towns such as Clitheroe or munching one’s way around the Ribble Valley Food Trail. The River Ribble is a big hook for anglers landing chub, barbel, trout and salmon. City day trips are in all directions too: the kids’ eyes will light up with a trip to Blackpool… and for shopping, the Trafford Centre and Liverpool One of Manchester and Liverpool respectively should empty your wallet nicely…
