Now how’s this for a bit of luxury? At Wold Meadow, on the outskirts of the pretty East Yorkshire village of Wold Newton, you’ll be staying in a luxury glamping unit with its own private wood-fired hot tub, ready for you to leap into whenever you fancy it… It’s just the place for a bit of sunset watching and/or stargazing – and the experience is further boosted by having bathrobes and prosecco provided (along with the first bag of logs). Those little touches aren’t the only ones, however – lots of things have been thought of here, including a log burner (again with the first bag of logs and kindling), an electric cool box and a kingsize bed made up with cosy colourful bedding. Lots of practicalities have been sorted here too, including a designated toilet and shower for each unit a short walk away. On the food front, there’s a kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glasses for each unit and a shared kitchen with a microwave, an oven and a hob, plus all the essential pots and pans. Whatever you choose to rustle up there can be taken back to your private patio area, which has a bistro table, chairs, a parasol, a barbecue and a firepit with fabulous views out over the surrounding Wolds. If you’d like a closer look at the Yorkshire Wolds, pick up the Wolds Way about three miles away for a walk or bike ride through lovely countryside and cute tiny villages. Meanwhile, if that’s a bit too far to roam, a short walk takes you down to the village to feed the ducks at the pond or sip a pint in the dog-friendly pub. One final luxury to mention… this is an adults-only site so you’ll have to leave the kids elsewhere…

Gostou The stay was very nice and the owners were very welcoming and hospitable. The yurt was clean and tidy and had everything you could need; would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend getaway 😊

Gostou The people that run this site are super friendly and helpful. The little extra touches really make it special- fairy lights, gowns, hot water bottles, little treats in the cooler box etc etc they really have thought of everything. Own private lockable amenaties , wood for sale on site, plug in cooler box to keep things cold, hot tub, lots of blankets , super clean. Very cute. Nice small quiet site with beautiful views. Hoping to book again and maybe stay longer. Almost forgot the best bit, dog friendly and they didnt even mind my 1 year old jumping up at them when he decided to ignore me as usual lol

Não gostou The co alarm was missing from our yurt , however when I asked for one they brought me one immediately and apologised so not complaining at all, just think some guests may not be aware to check for one themselves and its super important in such a small space with a log burner

Gostou Had a great 2 night stay at Wold Meadow. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. The Yurt (Foxes Lair) was great and the hot tub and added bonus. 5 min walk to the village pub and 20 min drive to Filey, Bridlington or Bempton Cliffs. Looking forward to our next visit.

Gostou Absolutely perfect place to relax. Everything I could have needed was in the yurt or in the separate kitchen. Also have own private bathroom with towels provided.

Gostou Absolutely everything was perfect! The place had everything we could possibly need and more. We’d packed our own blankets, hot water bottles, games, and towels, but everything was already there!! The kitchen was well-equipped with an air fryer, oven, fridge, etc., which was great for cooking breakfast in the mornings really easy. Each yurt also came with its own private bathroom and a lovely hot shower. The Prosecco and homemade cakes waiting in the cooler box were such a thoughtful touch.

The outdoor space was magical—cosy fairy lights, a fire burner, and the hot tub. It took a little trial and error to get the temperature just right, but once we did, it was perfect.

The location was ideal too—we drove into Scarborough and Hunmanby, grabbed some fish and chips, and enjoyed them outside the yurt while watching the sunset. we’d planned to head up to the local pub for drinks, but we were so comfortable and happy at the yurt that we never left. Truly perfect! We will be back!!!!

Gostou It was amazing everything was so nice. They supplied you with everything u needed. Touch, hot water bottle umbrella they have thought about everything little thing. It was clean (spotless). You get your own bathroom which was brilliant. The wood burning hottub was very relaxing. Just overall amazing

Stepping away from your own smart abode, you may like to set off to see some of the area’s stately homes – perhaps the Elizabethan Burton Agnes Hall (15 minutes’ drive), Grade I-listed Sewerby Hall & Gardens (25 minutes), or Scampston Hall (25 minutes), surrounded by Capability Brown-designed parkland. If it’s coastal capers you’re after, head east to the beaches of Bridlington, Filey (both 20 minutes) and Scarborough (25 minutes) or pack your binoculars and see what you can spot at RSPB Bempton Cliffs (25 minutes).
