Fancy waking up to expansive views of the spectacular Malvern Hills? Then Riverside Caravan Park might just be the place for your next holiday. This peaceful site sits on the banks of the River Severn, 10 minutes’ drive from Great Malvern and 15 minutes from Worcester. The site is well equipped for families: children can let rip in the play area and climb trees, and there’s a dog park for the four-legged members of your clan. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can relax with a spot of riverside angling or by taking in the splendid views of the Worcestershire countryside. Sometimes animals can be spotted in the neighbouring area. The on-site clubhouse puts on a diverse range of events, from quiz nights to bingo and live entertainment; it also has a big screen tuned to Sky Sports, for the happiness of those who just can’t stay away from their Saturday footie. The clubhouse serves meals, too, including traditional Sunday roasts, or you can explore the local pubs: the nearest one is a five-minute drive away (or a 25-minute walk). On the other hand, if you prefer to fire up the barbecue, you’re more than welcome to do so here. Great Malvern is your best bet for provisions, with independent shops and a choice of supermarkets. Among other amenities here are heated toilet and shower blocks (including facilities for disabled guests), a launderette and a washing-up area.

Gostou We have just returned from a two-night stay at Riverside Caravan Park, and we had a wonderful time.

We were part of a group of four families, and when we arrived, we asked the staff if we could stay together. This was not a problem at all. A lovely couple helped us find a great pitch, and we really appreciated their kindness.

I can highly recommend this place. It was very clean, with beautiful views, clean toilets, and a well-kept washing area. Everything was perfect. There is also a lovely area to walk around and enjoy the surroundings.

We will definitely return!

Gostou This is a wonderful campsite for camper vans and tourers. The staff were so helpful and the check in process is slick. As soon as we arrived, they communicated to the guy on duty and we were pitched up within minutes. The touring field is sloped as others said, but with chocks it was fine. The toilets and showers were spotless, the clubhouse on site was a bonus, (certain opening hours) and we booked in for 2 more nights before heading back home. The river walk was lovely at the bottom on the site, and we got a taxi (about £12 one way) into Malvern to meet friends for dinner.

Gostou Greeting, site location, pitch, pitch facilities, washrooms, dog field

Não gostou Children and adults Not allowed to ride cycles around the park, or the dog field.
Also, in advance, as booked for 4 pitches. I checked verbally if sign written vans were allowed on site, I was advised that they were not allowed, however 2 sign written and were pitched up during our visit, so I wonder why we were told they were not allowed?

For the safety of everyone we do not allow bicycles, scooters, skateboards to be used onsite. It is also correct that we do not accept sign written vans on the field, both customers were spoken to and agreed to offload and park in our overflow carpark near the entrance.

Head to Worcester, where you can gaze up at (and feel dwarfed by) the Gothic vaults of the centuries-old cathedral (home of the tomb of medieval King John); learn all about porcelain at the Museum of Royal Worcester; and check out the walled garden at Greyfriars House. If you’re itching for a hike, there are plenty of trails in the Malvern Hills National Landscape (15 minutes’ drive), including circular walks taking in a spectacular landscape of woodland, pastures and orchards. There are also self-guided themed walks focusing on wildlife, the famed water springs or local literary connections. Stretching along the banks of the River Avon, the historic town of Tewkesbury (20 minutes) is renowned for its 12th-century abbey, with its splendid stained-glass windows and ornate ceiling. The Tewkesbury Museum, in a half-timbered building, is home to a vast diorama (with a cast of over 2,000 characters) illustrating one of the key battles of the War of the Roses, the Battle of Tewkesbury, which took place on the outskirts of the town in 1471.
