Halfway House Inn

Gostou: Nice quiet site with clean facilities. Our pitch was a good size and private. Good mix of grass and gravel. Great to have pub on site with lovely food.

Não gostou: Out of control of site but the kennels nearby were noisy for duration of our stay.

Gostou: The site was nice enought and host very helpful but the constant barking and howling from the pack of hounds right next door to it was horrendous. This went on at intervals day and night . We left early because of it. There was also no direct walks from the site due to a fast winding road with no pavement.

Yes, there are not many pavements on the roads of the beautiful Shropshire countryside however there are several right of way paths & scenic trails. There is an amazing trail that takes you from the Halfway House to Bridgnorth town in just 30minutes, I'm sure this would have been communicated to you if you had asked.

I'm sorry that the hunting hounds from the local kennels brought you discomfort, I will pass the feedback on to the kennel owners.

Gostou: Lots of grassed areas near pitches. Staff very friendly and pub food excellent.

Não gostou: Not many facilities - 1 men’s 1 women’s and disabled shower/ toilet. If the site was full it would be a problem.

Regarding your "Dislikes", feedback is how we improve our offering so it is always welcomed.

The points you highlighted:

> Our shower block has 3 unisex, toilet & shower rooms. I can see the signage might be misleading to some, so I have ordered new, clearer signage. Shropshire Council require a minimum of 1 shower to every 30 pitches, so our 3 showers is way above what is expected for our small site. Also the best part is our powerful, hot showers are FREE (o:

> Our pub toilets are open 24/7 as well but, maybe this wasn't explained to you at the time. We will make sure this doesn't happen again

Gostou: Good site. Level pitch with EHU and water.
Host made us very welcome. Traditional English pub with good food and drinks. Toilets emaculate.

Não gostou: The 5am alarm caused by the local Hunt pack living in the adjacent farm.

Yes we pride ourselves in being a good auld traditional English Inn, becoming more and rare these days unfortunately.

Blessed to be in the heart of the Shropshire countryside we are surrounded by various farms, one is a small hunting hounds kennel. I have passed your feedback onto the kennel manager

I'm so happy we ticked all the boxes for you in making it a "Super stay"

As all our food is home cooked and not bought in, we have to make sure its quality/ freshness is second to none. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are our quietest days, so we do close the kitchen. However, 7 days a week, we do have cobs, award winning pork pies, Scotch eggs etc available.

As the season picks up, we will extend the kitchen opening times Hope to see you again very soon
